    “Simple accommodation with good location”

The hostel is a few minutes away from Shinjuku and Shinjuku sanchome stations. I requested the lower bunk bed upon booking and it was granted. Was able to store my luggage before the 4 PM check-in, which was done through a tablet and easy to fill-out. I also rented a towel for 220 yen. There is free water refill in the cafe. The room I was given was bigger than the others based on the floor plan. I arranged the bedsheet on my own and it was pretty simple. There is also a free one-time bedsheet change, which I availed on my 4th night stay. There was enough space to arrange my stuff in the room and I used the common area to pack my luggage before check-out. This one was a major decision point for me as compared to capsule hotels where you can't take the luggage inside the sleeping area. There were 3 shower/bath and 5 toilets to serve max of 30 female guests. I had no problem with the sharing set-up since leave the hostel pretty late in the morning. The cleaning was also done regularly. If I can suggest, I hope they can install hooks in the shower for the towels. There were also restaurants and konbinis around the area and Hanazono shrine was just a few steps away. Definitely a good place to stay when you're in a budget.

    “Good!”

Pros: - Good location, relatively close to one of the entrances to Shinjuku station. - Nice common areas, chill music, cafe seemed good - Friendly staff who also spoke fluent English - They don't kick you out during cleaning time (though it does get a little loud, so I recommend leaving before 11). - Good clean fridge/microwave - Nice shower - Social vibe was pretty good - Horizontal bed configuration convenient Cons: - Security seems a little lacking for luggage storage, as people were putting luggage close to the front door, but it was being watched by the staff at least, but hard for the staff to know whose is whose. - Lockbox for valuables is small, barely fit my 14" laptop. - Common area opens out to an alley, where there is car exhaust. Not too bad, but noticeable. - Got warm at night Overall a solid choice! I would stay here again.

“Clean facilities, great location, room a little small for group”

We booked the Japanese style room for 3 persons. We had to creatively place our luggage around the room to also make room for the floor mats. Even though the room is labeled for 3, it is a tight fit, it would be better for two. The facilities were cleaned regularly. The shower room was nice because there was a changing area separate from the shower. Only improvement here is this could use a towel rack. The cafe downstairs was nice to do work in the mornings. The happy hour beer special is nice too. The staff is friendly as well. Overall it is a great value for the location, just try to get a bigger room if you've got 3 people.

“Great price, quiet neighborhood, but room ventilation can be better ”

I agree with many of the comments here about the price being affordable and it is in a quieter location that is still in Shinjuku but only a few blocks area from Kabukicho, so you can feel safe and relax when you come to stay here. The staff were friendly and kind and were welcoming when I checked in and out. I was on the women’s third floor and there are 6 rooms that can occupy a maximum of 6 in each room (36 occupancy total). You enter a code to get into the room you’re staying in. The lounge on floor three is women’s only and there is a fridge, microwave, and individual storage lockers just for valuables. There is about 3 showers and one has a bathtub but I never had to wait to use the showers. My roommates were quiet and respected the rules that were expected of us. The front doors lock at 11pm however they will provide you a code to get in. I stayed here in mid September so it was still very hot. The rooms when not occupied during the day felt cool but during bedtime at night I felt very hot (the air in the room was hot from having 5-6 people sleeping in the same room) and there is a notice to not adjust the temperature below 23 degrees Celsius. The first night I woke up feeling sweaty and uncomfortable (I started to get use to this but it’s not a great feeling) but mind you this was the summer season so it might be different if you are travelling another time.

    10 Bed Male Dormitory Room

    “Value for Money, Great Location”

Was able to upgrade my room to the 6-bed male dorm so this review is for that. Rooms were spacious enough, bed was comfortable. Location is amazing - 15 minutes from Shinjuku station, 5 minutes from shinjuku-sanchome station or higashi-shinjuku (if you're taking the skyliner to/from the airport). Lots of convenience stores and near Golden Gaii and nichome so if you're drunk coming back from a night out, won't be a problem.
