DISAPPOINTING STAY: Could improve cleanliness and facilities”
Stayed here for 5 nights and 6 days. Very accommodating and welcoming staff upon arrival, and welcome drinks served as well! When we got to the room during check in, there was some wear and tear in the walls, ceiling and furniture, this could be overlooked but when we opened the sheets, there was HAIR on the bed sheets :((( and the DUVET SMELLED like someone had already used it :( This was changed immediately upon request and they were apologetic about it - so that’s good! Breakfast for the next days was so-so. Love that they had an egg station and mineral water for refilling, but again for the price of the resort, was expecting a bit more for the selection of food and the breakfast facility. Again can be overlooked, but there were instances where we would see COCKROACHES near the buffet area and also saw one in the soup, as well as hair in the food :(( They should really improve on the cleanliness because our parents also stayed in the room next to us and had to kill a few cockroaches in their room :( Aside from the lack of cleanliness, LOCATION IS GREAT! Very near ATM’s, Mercury Drug and Healthway, as well as walking distance to the BEACH, and top restaurants! At the resort they also had a pool table which was fun as well as a pool area which was cleaned everyday. I would say this area is really for chilling and relaxation because to get to the town you’d have to take a trike which was a bit expensive. It’s the perfect location for just staying in one area because you have everything you’ll need! Although the stay had some downsides and issues, it might be suitable for those who prioritise LOCATION and BUDGET over cleanliness and great facilities.

Isla Amara, nestled beside the tranquil Lio beach, was a true gem of a find. The location is perfect for those seeking a serene and less crowded beach experience. The convenience of having the beach right beside the hotel was truly a luxury. The area is also conveniently located near several restaurants, ATMs, and other amenities, which added to the overall ease and comfort of our stay. However, our experience was marred slightly by a booking issue. We made our reservation through Agoda, intending to book a room with a pool view. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we found that our reservation did not match our initial booking. This was a disappointment and a point of frustration with Agoda. Despite this hiccup, Isla Amara remains a beautiful place to stay and is highly recommended for its location, amenities, and serene atmosphere. I would suggest future guests to double-check their bookings, especially when made through third-party platforms like Agoda. A shining star of our stay was Gale, one of the hotel staff, who went above and beyond to address all our concerns. When we encountered the booking issue, Gale assisted us in changing our room to one with pool access. This was a delight for our 15-year-old daughter who absolutely loves swimming. The staff at Isla Amara were all friendly and welcoming. Their warm smiles and greetings added a personal touch to our stay and made us feel at home. However, the hotel did fall short in a few areas. The breakfast options were rather limited and the quality of the coffee was not up to par. Additionally, the lack of telephones in the rooms was a notable inconvenience. We found ourselves having to walk to the reception every time we needed something, which was not ideal. Given that they have a 24-hour reception, it would be highly beneficial for guests if telephones were added to the rooms for ease of service requests. We had a deluxe room with view of the nice swimming pool. The trendy hotel was situated in a good location on Lio beach, with various restaurents nearby and very close to the airport. We did not hear any plane noises. We booked 2 fantastic El Nido boat tours with the hotel which we highly recommend. It was nice to have Ice cream between 4 and 5pm especially UBE flavour. Breakfast was average and bland. Not sure whether I want pasta, curry or rice or noodle for breakfast. The person doing the omlette and eggs was very good and even brought your omlette to your table. We enjoyed having water for refilling. Things to improve: it would be good to have more storage space in the room and a rack outside to put clothes for drying. Please review the breakfast menu. Also kindly keep an eye on the sockets, door handle and general maintenance of this comfortable room. TV was not even connected to any arial and we had no remote control. These issues were addressed when asked. The staff were very kind and helpful during our stay I must say.

All the staff that we encountered during our stay are very friendly and accomodating. They helped make our stay comfortable. They arranged the Tour A for us and we were picked up at Isla Amara in the morning and dropped back off at the resort after the tour. We even met a lovely couple who were also staying at Isla Amara. Very affordable and the location is awesome! We stayed at Lio Estate during our whole trip except for the time that we went on tour A. Everything you need is there. There are restaurants, ATM, there’s a Mercury drug and a souvenir shop. During our stay, we had our meals at El Nido Grill, Punta Playa, and the restaurant beside Punta Playa. All of them served good food with good serving size. The resort also has a nice pool with lukwarm water so it’s not chilly when you swim at night. Lastly, because the resort is in the beach area, you can swim on the beach anytime. I just hope Isla Amara would put up their own lounge chairs by the beach as I noticed that the lounge chairs at the shore can be used by everyone, even if they are not staying at any of the hotels at Lio Estate so there are times that all lounge chairs with umbrellas are occupied. Our room is clean and smells fresh.. I love the scent that they are using. On our second day, by the time that we got back from our tour, the housekeeping staff had already tidied up our room and refilled our water. There is just one weird smell in the bathroom so I kept the exhaust fan on all the time. Overall, we had an awesome stay. We were able to relax and recharge and not worry about anything because everyone that we met at the resort are willing to help and assist us in every way possible. We will stay there again if we got back to El Nido.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, staff are amazingly polite. They really went out of their way to assist us. Located on the beach, which makes it very comfortable. They offer a complimentary ice cream every day. However, I have two feedbacks: 1. Breakfast was horrible in my opinion, for such a hotel, and for the money that we paid, we expected at least a reasonable breakfast. The food quality and the selection was below low, also, the mugs and the glasses had a bad smell, so I had to ask for a paper cup each time I wanted to drink tea. Trying the breakfast for two days in a row we decided to not eat there again so we had to spend money to eat somewhere else. 2. My friend got very bad poisoning (from another restaurant)so at midnight she woke up with a horrible pain, so I went to the reception to ask for help. However, the receptionist wasn’t aware of the procedure to assist us, she said that at midnight there is no help available or doctor. However, in the morning we found out that there is a clinic next to the hotel and that the nurse is available 24 seven this is when a nurse came to assist my friend, which was suffering the whole night because of the lack of information by the receptionist. This is mandatory information that they supposed to know! So besides this incident and the horrible breakfast everything else was good and nice.
