Overall was good”
The room was clean and I liked the onsen also. There were some noises at night (on the ceiling? Maybe because it’s a wood room?) and all restaurants in this area was shut down when I visited (because Nikki is still under stage of emergency) so maybe you should check before going. I think the price was reasonable for what the hotel offers

Depends what you want!”
Extremely nice staff with a great location. Room was huge and would be excellent for a large family. The downfalls are the lack of a shower in the room which would not normally be an issue but the Onsen facilities are not open until 4pm leaving no chance for a morning or even afternoon rinse. Room was clean, location was great, and the staff was extremely kind which made the stay. Onsen was on par with an average public Onsen -Tattoos were Ok. If you accept the shower/Onsen situation you will be fine! Side note, Tomi Sushi and other restaurants were within 5 minutes walking distance - Tomi Sushi was a small mom and pop shop with AMAZINGLY fresh sushi at a very reasonable price (hotel recommendation and it did not disappoint!)

Showa-era onsen hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was like a trip to the past for good and ill. It looks like nothing has been updated since abut 1995. This means there are lots of interesting, charming things around. This also means one elevator doesn't work, there are suspicious wet spots on walls, and general overdue maintenance. Rooms are generously sized with incredible views over the gorge. Staff was very friendly and helpful if sometimes slightly hard to find. If you want to see a relic of bubble-era Japan, this is the place to go. If you're looking for something, modern, clean, and bright, you may want to look elsewhere.

とても立派なホテルだと思いましたが、お風呂が夜9:45まで、朝は大浴場も露天風呂も入れない、しかも部屋のシャワーも使えない。朝にシャワーすら浴びれないのはさすがに厳しいです。あと、私は熱い風呂が好きてすが、露天風呂は熱すぎてとても入れる温度ではありませんでした。フロントの女性は、私がマスクをずらしているのを忘れて話したら、すごく嫌な顔をして「マスクしないと退館になります！」と言ってました。ちゃんとマスクしてましたがずらしていただけで、退館はないだろと非常に不愉快に感じました。お客さんが少ないのはわかりますが、風呂の温度の管理や接客をきちんとしていただきたかったです。

史上最悪、最低の宿。”
温泉に入れるのは22時まで。朝もお風呂には入れない。部屋ではお湯も出ない。クレジットカードは使えない。自分で蒲団を敷かなければならない。 そのくせ風呂上がりでもマスクをしないと出て行けと勧告すると至るところに張り紙がある。 自販機はフロントの階にしかない。 至るところ節電のためか電気が消されていて暗い。 食事の出ない素泊まりの宿というのは知っていたが、コンビニの弁当を温めるために、若い子たちが長蛇の列。 レンジはフロント横にひとつしかない。 二度と行かないし、誰にも勧めない。 腹を立てるために温泉に行く訳じゃない！

宿はカビ臭く、wifiは使えず、絶景を楽しみにしていたのに、窓の位置が高すぎて何も見えず。 食事の場所もなく、ローソンで買って食べることに。二度と泊まりません。

廃墟寸前のような部屋と設備。とにかく部屋が寒く、ホカロンをして寝ました。トイレの手洗いの水は氷水のように冷たかったです。温泉は朝は入れず夜は９：４５迄に出なくてはなりません。 夜１０時以降は緊急時以外はフロントに連絡は出来ないようです。 フロントのスタッフはマナーも良くきちんとした対応だった事が唯一良かった事でした。
