Spacious Room, Good Parking but Reception Could Use a Makeover”
My stay at this hotel was alright, with some highlights and a few things that could be improved. The room was spacious which I really appreciated. The color scheme with its dark/navy blue tones, gave the space a cozy and relaxing vibe, and I loved how the curtains blocked out the sunlight so effectively. There were moments when I thought it was already night outside because the room stayed so dark. Perfect for those who want a good night's sleep without the early morning light streaming in. The AC was nice and cool, keeping the room comfortable throughout my stay which was a relief during the warmer days. As for the WIFI, it could definitely use some improvement. While it worked fine for basic tasks, the speed and strength were a bit lacking, especially when watching on my device or working. It wasn’t a deal-breaker but it could have been faster. Great parking spaces nearby for non-residents, which was a huge relief. I absolutely hate having to waste time searching for parking so the convenience of knowing there’s plenty of space nearby made things much easier. Now, about the reception staff: this was where my experience didn’t live up to expectations. Honestly, they didn’t seem welcoming at all. The check-in process took over 15 minutes, which felt annoyingly slow, especially after a long day when all I wanted to do was quickly check in and unwind. The reception staff didn’t offer a warm greeting and their tone was flat and lacked enthusiasm. They didn’t smile and I couldn’t help but feel that the first point of contact—the front desk—wasn't doing much to make a guest feel welcome. I understand everyone has bad days, but I’ve stayed here a couple of times and their vibe has always been the same: unwelcoming and lacking energy. I’m not expecting long conversations but a simple smile or a more inviting tone would go a long way in making guests feel more at ease.

We had to spend one night in Abud Shabi between our travels and this hotel was perfect. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was amazing, so nice and polite. The check in process was really easy and fast, they helped us a lot when they offered to look out after our luggage after check out and made it possible for us to enjoy the city hassle free a couple more hours. The breakfast was delicious and they had many options. We were pleased with our experience here and we recommend this hotel.

Good clean, quiet & spacious room ”
First impressions getting off the bus heading towards the hotel was wow Abu Dhabi is massive. As I’ve made my way closer towards the Kingsgate hotel, I did get the impression that the area is is a little downtown. He is a little rough round the edges but still everywhere is clean the walls and buildings surrounding the hotel that are a little bit derelict looks like there’s probably gonna be some building work going on around here in the future and also I notice behind the hotel is a mosque. Not a problem. Only depends on how loud I can hear the court prayer in the morning, hopefully not too loud. I’m on the ninth floor and I can’t hear any street noise so far. I was greeted by a lovely female reception staff who checked me in extremely quickly and explained that I’d already paid for my three nights and there was just a tax to pay which was 15 AED per night which I paid with my card. The foyer area was clean, but nothing spectacular. I approached the lift which came very quickly and ascended to the night floor corridor seem quite dark and quiet, which is good and I want my room. I’m surprised about the size which is very spacious. I had a quick look round is clean and tidy, though a little shabby the hotel could probably do with a re-Ferb soon though for the price I’m paying £44 a night I’m not complaining im not a princess requiring a very thing brand new… as long as it’s clean and functional I’m happy. I travelled in from Israel that this was the third leg of my four country journey and hadn’t eaten since the night before so changed and went out for a walk to the apparently best falafel in Abu Dhabi, which was a 17 minute walk from the hotel. There’s plenty of supermarkets and restaurants on your doorstep here you will be spoilt for choice of where to eat takeaways , restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, juices, et cetera. My family's recent 2-day stay at Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi, offered a mixed bag of experiences, leading me to rate it a 3.5 out of 5. The hotel's prime location was its standout feature, providing easy access to local attractions, which was highly convenient for our family. The staff also deserves commendation for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing positively to our overall experience. However, the hotel's amenities and facilities left room for improvement. The must have amenities such as pool and fitness center are missing. These areas did not meet our expectations for leisure and recreation. Furthermore, our room, though clean, felt outdated. The decor and furniture appeared tired, and the beds lacked the comfort we anticipated, impacting our sleep quality. Dining at the hotel was an average experience. The limited menu and inconsistent quality of food were drawbacks. An expansion of the menu and a focus on improving food quality could greatly enhance the dining experience for guests. In conclusion, our stay at Kingsgate Abu Dhabi was satisfactory but not without its flaws. The hotel benefits from a great location and friendly staff but needs to invest in updating its amenities such as , pool, gym, rooms, and dining options to truly elevate the guest experience. Should these improvements be made, we would consider returning in the future, hopeful for a more consistently positive experience.

I almost didn't consider Kingsgate due to a previous review which stated that the hotel was not clean! Then I decided to see myself and it was pretty clean Thumbs up: * Location: in the middle of the city, everything is near by, taxis, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, masjid, ... you name it * Staff: very helpful and attentive; housekeeping was good 👍 and Muneer from the kitchen is a jolly fellow * Smooth check-in by Owais and seamless check-out by Sanjay, no delays no issues. Thumbs down: - facility doesn't have it's own parkings BUT public parkings are plenty, stayed for 10 nights, never had an issue finding a parking - maybe it's time to change the carpet, not too dirty or something but some spots here and there - might need to bring your own iron shall you need one, I asked for one but none was available Overall, highly recommended
