A wonderful getaway location!”
this was our second stay at Bailand Beach Resort. The facilites have been upgraded and improved since our last stay. The resort beach is more rocky than sandy, but they have brought in a signficant amount of sand that our 7 year old son enjoyed playing in each day. The breakfast is a nice buffet with different offerings each day in addition to some staples. The room is large and comfortable. The bed is NOT the typical hard Thai mattress, but very comfortable. We rented a motorcyle to visit some of the more white sand beaches nearby. The staff helped up book a wonderful day trip touring around some of the smaller islands and snorkeling. The staff is friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay again!

Love this place”
We stayed here 6years ago when my daughter was just 2 years old. We came back after staying Kae Bai which was too busy for my liking. Great pool, very friendly and helpful staff, food good, beach is okay, gardens beautifully peaceful. The only downside the internet is a bit sporadic (but it was great to get away form the phone and ipads) and the noise of the duff duff duff travelling faintly over from Lonely Beach for some of the huts at the front at night. Other than that idyllic. Thank you Bailan Beach.

Exceptional service in dire circumstances ”
My BF and I were there just as Covid19 hit a fever pitch (no pun intended...) We were LITERALLY the ONLY guests at the resort our last 3 days. The staff went far and above the call of duty to ensure that we still managed to enjoy our stay to the best of their abilities in the worst of circumstances. Food was always great. Prices (for Koh Chang) we’re reasonable. Walking distance to several other restaurants/bars/local markets. Wish the beach was sandier. Very rocky part of the island. But, truly, the best staff ever. We wish them all the best as they will be hurt most by the economic fallout from this virus.

Lovely location, shame the sea was so stoney. Grat pool. We changed from the front bungalow to a room in the block at the back. Much nicer. Breakfast ok, staff great. Near to village of Lonley Beach which has loads of restaurants, best of which by far was the Magic Garden. We enjoyed our stay

Pretty good place”
During this COVID-19 pandemic a lot of hotels have not been able to keep up with maintenance and so many things are broken and the rooms can smell very moldy since Thailand is a humid climate. But this hotel assigns rooms which are very well-maintained and very good quality. I was impressed with the value for the amount I paid. But when tourists start coming to Thailand the prices will of course increase greatly.

Nice location on the beach”
It's pretty nice. The facilities are very basic, as are the rooms. The huts facing the beach are nice, though they are very basic. For example, there is no desk and you have to do some juggling to get an electric outlet. But quite good for a basic place. This beach area is very quiet - you need to go over the hill to Lonely Beach if you want some late night fun.

Cheaper option, as you'd expect for the price but a little bit of a quiet spots”
Clean and nice size room (hard beds though for anyone that dislikes - fine for me). Breakfast wasn't great. Cold, minimal selection. There is a great place nearby (5 mins away) called Art Garden. Run by a German couple. Small section of beach at hotel. You can rent Kayak from hotel. We tended to go to the other main beaches. For brave souls can also hire moto. The hills and farangs with bandages put me off. Closest beach is Lonely Beach area. Around 50 baht pp in taxi. 10 mins away. Few bars and restaurants (recommend magic garden). Small spot. Further up is Kai Bay. 80 baht per person in taxi. Busier spot. More going on. Furthest distance to nicest beach at white Sand. 100 baht per person. Around 30 min drive in taxi. Lots of resorts. But actually beach isn't too overwhelmingly busy. Nice Thai places they'll make it real Thai if you ask. Not too expensive. Lovely place to chill. You are located close to Bang Bao Pier for any boat trips and not far from the Waterfalls. Overall..nice!

Nice resort but no ocean swimming. Nice bungalows, but bathrooms are small and need refurbishing. Nice pool. Breakfast buffet is adequate. Restaurant is quite good. Expect to drive to get to a nice beach for swimming.

Great Location BUT....”
The resort is beautiful located but in need of a proper Management. Staff seems to be unmotivated and therefore many things are not being noted or just simply overlooked. WiFi is only available in the reception area, with very slow speed, everybody is desperat for a signal.....Oh ja the Staff as well... And you better have a good sleep as you will here the loud music from the night club in the next bay until 4 in the morning (fool moon party.. sometimes until 6. In a nutshell... a resort located in a beautiful spot, but if you spend the money, I recommend to better look somewhere else.
