"our dream came true when we were back at this hotel in jan.2015. the friendly and helpful staff gave us a warm reception..my daughter also brought small gifts for receptionists..just to say thanks a million. she loved to play with snow..the whole kusatsu turned to a white dream land overnight .loved it so much. we learned to travel to kyoto and surrounding areas..it's a piece of cake for us now....people were also very helpful. kusatsu was simply beautiful and easy for us to learn the way of life here. did a lot of shopping!!! we felt good that the hotel was so close to the train station plus the convenient store..our room was warm and comfortable. we travelled light because we had a self service laundry in the hotel. we found the breakfast in the hotel was good and reasonable. we still want to be back... said.." yes, we will.""

"Nice cozy hotel very close to Kusatsu station on the JR line (So JR pass covers the journey from Kyoto to Kusatsu). Room size is larger than typical (but still small). Slightly old but well maintained rooms. Staff is very helpful. I would surely recommend. "

"We are a couple from Malaysia and travelling from our honeymoon. We were surprised to see how enthusiastic Hotel Boston Plaza Kusatsu Biwako is in celebrating Halloween! Very festive! We enjoyed a double room facing the train station, and there is a delicious takoyaki/okonomiyaki stand just 2 minutes walk from the hotel! The room we had is clean and made up daily. We also enjoyed our buffet breakfast on our last morning here. The hotel is actually not in Kyoto itself, you will need to take the train about 20 minutes to Kyoto station"

"Nice stay for two nights. Very affordable although located a few stations out of Kyoto. Hotel does provide a shuttle bus service to Kusatsu station. Bed and pillow a little too firm for my taste but otherwise the room was very good - clean and modern."
