Much better than expected”
After reading some reviews before arriving this hotel exceeded our expectations. Although quite basic we were very impressed with the quality of the room. The situation was great as is a very short walk to the beach and was on the main strip full of bars and restaurants. If we return to Samui, I will definately look to stay at Lek City again.

Excellent location, couldn't ask for a better spot”
When we return to Chaweng, we definitely plan on returning to Lek City. The rooms were by far the best we had encountered whilst backpacking Asia. They are so clean, which is so important. The rooms are large and comfortable and the design was nice as well. The location was the absolute best, right in the heart of things and the thriving Ark Bar literally across the street with the beach right in front as well. Ensuite bathrooms are great and clean(!) and shampoo and shower gel are provided. The only downside to staying here is not having WiFi anywhere except the lobby.

we stayed in lek city hotel for 3 nights during thai new year. the room was spacious with a nice bathroom and a great shower. the staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be although they didn't speak much english. the hotel is only 5minutes walk to the beach. the only bad point we could think of for tho hotel was the view out the window- a brick wall. apart for that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. this hotel is suited better for young people and not so much for families as it can get quite noisy outside at night.

Value for money! Prime location!”
As a solo traveller i had previously stayed at the Ark bar which is located less than 5 minutes away due to being on a travellers budget i moved to Lek City and found that it provided alot more value for money! Rooms are clean and spacious (basic but good shower etc) Staff were friendly and i ended up staying longer than anticipated! 5-10 minute walk to all major nightclubs etc and central to pretty much everywhere, beach is 5 mins away! The outside of the hotel does not do it justice and is located over the road from a caberet- i didnt find this to be an issue re noise as shows finished around 1am! Nice budget accom for a traveller, i was alone and found it easy to meet people! Wifi only in communal areas as with alot of hotels, i would stay again :-)

Nice Location”
The hotel is on the main street yet just down an alleyway, secluded. Across the main sreet is a beach resort and path to the beach. The Lek city is a good hotel to stay, near the bars and cafes etc. and near the lovely beach and warm sea. But there is one thing you have to remember. Choose a room on the second floor, the floor above the ground floor, and choose a room facing the back, not the cabaret theatre which is noisy at night.The rooms facing the other way are quiet. The rooms on the third floor are a bit noisy I think.

Great location - great value”
If you prefer a hotel in the city next to restaurants, bars and within walking distance (3 minutes) to the beach, this is the place to choose. Great value for your money. Located on Chaweng Beach Road this hotel has large rooms, bathrooms and beach towels. Rooms nice and clean. Reception/staff polite and helpful. WiFi in the reception area. No restaurants but many possibilites for eating just next to the hotel. With a location next to Moulin Rouge Cabarat show there are music and noise. If you prefer less noise choose a room facing the back of the building (opposite the street). Or a more expensive resort in the area between Chaweng Beach Road and the beach.

Would definitely stay here again ”
Could not say a fault with this hotel we stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is next to the ladyboy show which is loud until 2 o'clock but we was out until past then anyway. Lek city is right in the middle of everything so you can walk easily to the bars, beach and shops. I would definitely stay again :)

Great hotel great location”
booked through agoda and got great discounted price. only stayed here for 1 night and wish we found it earlier. stayed in ark beach bar across the road but lek city was just as good if not better. bigger rooms and the only difference was lek didn't have a pool. the beach is 2mins walk if even though.

A BUDGET HOTEL , 2 MINUTES WALK FROM CHAWENG BEACH”
THE HOTEL IS CENTRALLY LOCATED AND GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.. CHAWENG BEACH IS ONLY 2 MINUTES WALK.. NIGHT LIFE IN CHAWENG BEACH IS GOOD... FULL MOON PARTY IS FINE , AT A PRICE OF 700 BAHT..THERE IS A BEACH PARTY EVERY FRIDAY...LOVELY RESTAURANTS ON THE BEACH...FIRE SHOW ON THE BEACH LOOKS LOVELY...ONE SHOULD TAKE A 4 HOURS SIGHT SEEING .. MUMMYFIED MONK IS A WONDER , NOT TO TALK ABOUT GRAND MA AND GRAND PA... HOWEVER A WONDERFUL HALF DAY SIGHT SEEING ... REALLY LOVED SAMUI...NIGHT LIFE IS GOOD , OF COURSE NOT LIKE PATTAYA...WILL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO THE BACK PACKERS AND SOLO TRAVELLERS..

Just in the centre”
We have booked this hotel thanks to reviews on this site and I must say it was very well spend money. Great big room with everything what you need, location its just in the centre of Chaweng Beach. No wifi in the room though. Bit noisy in the evening so people with small children schould consider it. For the rest they are usually out and back to room after midnight when the area is already quiet.

Amazing value”
I stayed here twice (two different rooms). This was one of the cheapest hotels I could find located in the center of Chaweng. The location is amazing - next to Ark Bar, the clubs, cheap and expensive restaurants, the shopping, and very close to the beach. But because it's located next to bars and clubs, expect noise until at least midnight. The sheets are a bit stained and there are some holes here and there. The wifi is also slow. One of my rooms also had a very strong mothball smell. The woman at the front is also definitely more friendly than the man. But overall none of these were major issues so I was pretty happy and would stay here again.

Basic hotel in a good location but noisy in the ev”
stayed in lek city hotel for two nights. the room were alright. it had ac, cable, hot shower and a refridgerator. nothing special. the hotel doesn´t have a restaurant but there are many to choose of just around the corner. hotel is located right next to a ladyboy cabaret- show bar and it can get very noisy in the evenings. the rooms were cleaned daily but on one time our rooms door was left open after the cleaning with all our valuables in the room so that was a very big negative. all and all a decent hotel for a good price and close to anything that a samui visitor wishes.

We enjoyed our nights at Lek City, which was clean and comfortable. The ladyboys outside near the cabaret were fun, but this hotel is very very noisy long into the early hours! Good value for money

Great location, good value”
I stayed here for some days, and enjoyed the short distance to both chaweng beach, and the bar streets. The staff was friendly and helpfull, no stress. Only disadvantage was that my room ha windows towards the street where the nerby "Cabbaret" played loud music from 9pm-02am. It didn't bother me much since I usually was out at this time anyway, but if you're here to sleep normal hours, get a room facing the other way.

Good location and very close to beach. Hotel location is great and it's exactly in the main road which got the most bar for who want the night life also near the shop and restaurant. Very good environment and it is centre in Chaweng beach.

Great location with decent rooms”
this place is in a great location just off the main road in chaweng. located across the road from a lady boy cabaret which can be quite loud at night but doesn't go that late. short walk to the beach and plenty of restaurant options nearby. clubs are also only a short walk away. room was nicer than i was expecting. good value for money. would stay here again.

We booked this hotel together with our other friends, but we get the room on the quiet side so we dont hear any noise at all. Very nice and big room, with all what you need. I would recommend this hotel for everyone for that price and location. If you need a wifi you schould look for another place, here only in the reception area.

Best location for partying”
In 5 minutes you are in the middle of the samui nightlife, very clean and nice rooms with air condition, refrigerator and a tv - no cable tv but who watches tv when you can party all night? Friendly staff and good value for money. Familoes with children should better not stqy here since vis a vis there is a ladyboy cabaret playing loud music till midnight...
