Find hotels near Lopburi City Center in Lopburi, Thailand

The Paklop Resort plainly caters mostly to Thais; Lopburi is not on one of the main tourist routes. We were a group of 12 on a tour of the less travelled sights - one Thai and 11 Westerners. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, with firm beds that most found comfortable. The free breakfast was the usual choice of rice porridge or "American breakfast". Ordinary, but got the day started. The only disappointment was the bar - open air and right next to a main road with heavy traffic. Pollution and noise. Otherwise, a very good place to stay.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and we came in an big room, with a balcony with a view of the mountains. The room also had a TV, a big wardrobe and a bathroom. Also a fridge. The location was really good! To the monkeys (near the train station) we need 15 minutes with a taxi and it cost 8 bath per person. The location of the hostel is better than in the city of the monkeys!

The hotel reception was very helpful and friendly and assisted us in e.g. getting transport to Lopburi city as well as day transport to visit attractions. We also enjoyed the 2 or 3 times we had dinner (with music) at the resort. Every day we were able to enjoy the luxurious swimming pool and I made use of the wi-fi facility. It was not too far to get to Big C, 7-Eleven and other shops, which was convenient for us too.

We overnighted at Wanlapa on a short weekend road trip through Lopburi and Khao Yai. The staff were incredibly helpful and beyond attentive, and the place really gives you the feel of staying with a family on a farm! There are dogs roaming the property, horses without end, children at play, and beautiful countryside to enjoy when you stay here. The location is incredibly remote, so best for travelers who want peace and quiet. Expect to be woken early by the sun and birds who are excited to greet the day! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was very clean. The restroom is shared, and about what you would expect on a Thai farm :) We would definitely return should we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again!

On arrival at Lopburi train station called hotel who arranged transfer to hotel about 1.2k away. After check-in asked about motorbike hire. Hotel owner drove us to place could hire motorbike. We were now mobile and left to our own devices exploring the wonderful town of lopburi and surrounding areas. After long day found thai bar with music. Having a good night which got better when hotel manager joined us for a drink. Friendly entertaining guy. Windsor Hotel highly recommended.

Lovely seating area in the back (very green). We stayed in the sunflower room which had 2 fans and free tea or coffee. The staff was really nice and helpful and the showers and toilets were very clean! Everything in Lopburi is really close (3mins from the train station), no more than 7mins walking. The food and drinks are expensive but there are lots of other options nearby (try the street food near the station!) Would definitely recommend!

Overall was good. Staff were nice. We forgot our stuff at hotel when we checked out, they called and keep it for us. Close to supermarket. Wifi was okay. Toilet was clean. Bed was comfy. The accomodation was value with money. I would recommend this hotel, if you looking for small hotel brande new (built in y2015). If you dont have car maybe you can ask them a ride to city center. It about 4 km.to city center

We were in town for a wedding and chose to stay at the Home Place. The staff was very thoughtful and helpful. The room was spacious and super clean. Our first night we were able to upgrade to a VIP suite which was super! The hotel is a little out of the way, but no problem for us since we had a private car. I don't know that it would be within walking distance of attractions. The units on the upper floors are rented by the month. Because we were booked on two nights when soccer team members were staying on the lower floors, we were moved to an upper floor where the occupants were quiet and courteous. Breakfast of soupy rice, salad, and toast was provided, but Western guests will probably want to order something different at a minimal charge. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating. We would stay here again.

The hotel was new and clean. It is unusual in Thailand to find the fridge and TV disconnected from power. A cold drink is the first thing you want in LopBuri. I don't know if I would pay for breakfast. There was instant coffee and toast and soy milk. Reception is hit and miss - when we checked in there was zero English and they got me to email my agoda confirmation. Next morning the owner/manager spoke to us in good English.

My fiance and I chose this resort since it looked very nice on the pictures and it was very cheap and the reviews average. When we arrived in Lopburi we unfortunately did not know that there were no Tuktuks or taxis, so we had to drive with a private (taxi). The hotel is located outside of Lopburi and there are only a few buses to the city center until about noon. Then you can not get buses to the hotel or the city center. When we wanted to register at the front desk, my booking would not be found despite my identity card. Just by looking at the screen of the staff, we could finally log on. The staff could not speak English so we had to communicate with Google translator. The room was however very nice to look at it but there were broken old hotel furniture. In the bathroom was the toilet seat yellowed and there were a lot of spider nets there. The air conditioning was very noisy since it was much too large. We booked 2 nights but only stayed one night. The bed is really as hard as stone and the air conditioning was very very noisy. I can actually sleep everywhere but this time was really hard. Next morning we woke up with neck pain and headache which was also the stone pillow. The breakfast was a boring rice soup and you get earthy tasting tap water. In the room we had unfortunately no Wi-Fi, as it was almost the last room in the old creepy hospital corridor. From the outside the hotel looked very dilapidated. In my opinion, it was 20 years ago very nice since but now it reminds more of a ghost hotel. We would not want to return!

The hotel is clean, simple and value for money. The location though is quite some distance from the city centre. It will be good if the hotel can provide links to car rental services. The staff are friendly and helpful but they speak limited English...it will be good that the hotel can provide more English information such as sunflower field trip, etc. Overall it's a great stay as the hotel is clean and nice..I would recommend a stay here if you are in Lopburi.

This hotel is not close to the old city but regular minibuses go by just outside the hotel. Note that These buses do not run after 5 or 6pm. The museum rooms in the old palace are well worth a visit of at least 2 hours, although the entry fee has gone up a lot (think it was 150 Baht). We only stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Rooms were huge and very comfortable. It is a well worth while stop if you plan the transportation ahead of time. We needed 4 buses to travel to Lopburi from Old Sukothai but there is a direct bus once a day.

The location on right on Highway 1 might be a turn-off for some as rooms can be noisy all day and night but the friendly staff and Thai-style wooden decor make us feel right at home. Rooms, though clean and comfortable, are not very large with (in the case of superior double)an awkward layout of the bathroom which, if not locked, can be entered from outside. On the positive side, WiFi works well, there is 24-hour security, and the spa is professionally run even if it is situated in a separate pavilion even closer to the busy main road. Yet the best of all is plentiful breakfast; the owners really know where to get the best local food in Lopburi. Even in Bangkok, it's difficult if not impossible to find the coconut milk-based khanom sai sai (ขนมใส่ไส้) more memorable than those served at Pak Lopburi.

Most important, this is not a hotel,it's an apartment. And it's near impossible to find as taxi and motorbike taxis cannot find it SO KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS. To find it get to Phaya Tai BTS station and when you are at road level stand by the up escalator that leads back to the station. Look behind you just a few steps away you should see a building called Phayatai Plaza. If you do not, then cross the road and start again. You will see a pair of car barriers and a small white security hut. Walk straight through where the barrier is and straight down the service road for about 100m. You come to Pattayatai Condominium reception. Go in and the owners will greet you and take you to room. The apartment has a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, en-suite and extra wet room. The furnishings are typical Thai apartment ones and are functional. there is a flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi.Being right by Phaya Tai station you can easily get the train to the airport.It's very good value, but be patient trying to locate it!

Whenever we see there is a Hop Inn in town, I always check Inn there because I know it will be super clean, modern and I will sleep like a baby in their comfortable bed. Here the hotel is a bit outside of town, but mosts are. Taxis from downtown lopburi are expensive (250 bahts) but you can take one of the local bus (more like a pick up) which costs 20 bahts. It is really easy, just stand alongside the road and hail one when you see one. Tell them where you go and when you reach your destination push on the stop button.

Very nice room, everything is new, even the air conditioning. The staff is really nice and helpful. The hostel is just a few steps away from all the major sites and a quick walk from the train station. The only down side is the street side room. You should bring ear plugs. Everything else was perfect. We also recommend the Boom Café. The food and presentation was outstanding.
