        You get what you pay for”

        Price, good room size, okay location.

        Mai Pen Rai is located just before the main Kai Bae resort (if travelling from the North of the island). It's directly opposite the walking street area. The room was a good size and generally clean. The walls however did have insect droppings on them and could use a good cleaning. The balcony was large and overlooked the courtyard area. Room service was provided every two days. I would say that if you're travelling on a budget, then Mai Pen Rai is good value for money but for a few £ more, you can stay in a slightly better location in Kai Bae.

        Guesthouse in Koh Chang”

        Simple stay, clean

        The guesthouse is off Kai Bae beach about 5km from Lonely Beach (eg not lonely beach) the check in was simple and painless, the room had a bed, towel, water and tv, all you need for a functional hotel. Lamdlady was friendly. All in all fine :)

        I'm Thai and i think Everything is not bad... not the best but good Good in many things such as the location, the owner, the roon itself and the rate of the room If i have to go to koh chang agian i'll be back to this guesthouse

        Clean room

        When travelling Thailand you never know what to expect when you get to your hotel, but with this one we were pleasantly surprised! The room and bathroom were very clean and had hot water. The aircon worked well, there was a television and a fridge with free water in. Its near shops and resturants and not very far from the beach at all. I've only rated the food 1 because they don't do food.

        central location close to local restaurants, good starting point to get to other areas like lonely beach or into the national park

        I think this guesthouse is a good value for the money (paid $16/night), reasonably clean and friendly staff. If you only need a room to sleep because to plan to spend your day outside (beach, swimming, hiking, etc), this is a choice however, I would not recommend if you want to spend a certain amount of the day in your room. Bathroom is very basic and furniture minimum quality level.

        Was a really nice room with an awesome view, very good aircon, nice amenities included, pool was very nice and clean. But the water pressure in that room was very bad, the tap in the sink was just dribbling at full capacity and the shower wasnt very enjoyable due to the low pressure.

        Great place for such low price !! Beautiful pool !! The stuffs were super helpful, There was a black out that night on the island ,we didn't know what had happened , called the stuff around 4:00am ,she picked it up right away and explained to us .

        decent hotel for the money ”

        Decent enough hotel has a swimming pool which was spotless last time I was there. This time leaves in the pool. The mattress had seen better days, but this is a cheap room. We even had a monkey come in the room

        Two day stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Good internet and hot water. Close walking distance to food and drinks, but if you don't have a bike the beaches can be hard to get to.

        We've got a new renovated room which had a good view in the forest. Unfortunatley the walking street is near there and in some nighty, it was too load. We also had several time trouble with the water. The staff was very friendly and they always had time to help

        It's a pretty poor place in general, luke warm reception, the bed feels like an elephant has been using it as a trampoline, the shower drain is blocked, the shower water is supposed to be hot - it is not, it was not clean. The only plus points were that the Wifi was generally good, and the location was good

        Stopped for 4 night and extended for another 5. Clean spacious rooms, friendly staff. The owner tiger is a really nice and helpful guy, the food served was amazing and cheap, will be back next year 10 out of 10
