Treated like family”

It was a bit of a drive from the bus terminal in new Sukhotai, but totally worth it. The guesthouse is situated amongst rice fields and sugar canes, which is especially lovely in the evening, when you hear the sounds of the nature and nothing else. when i was there, there was a great view on fireworks and wish balloons in the distance at old town. I rented a bike at the and explored the surrounding temples. The staff is super helpful and will take you to old town whenever you want. my room was clean and cool with the fan. After a day of cycling, the pool is a very welcme aspect of the guesthouse. the jaccuzzi was not running. Food was all right, Meao is a good cook. If you like having a choice of different restaurants, and dislike dogs and cats, look for another place to stay. If you like nature and a real touch of Thailand and great hospitality, book it now!

mountain view guesthouse is located at 7 km from the historical park in between the paddyfields. the thai landlady is a superb cook, but runs this place alone. her husband is english and stays in uk. it really is a pity that she cannot take care well: the farmlike gh is not well kept - jacuzzi and swimmingpool are dirty with scurfy dogs strolling around. the rooms: bedlinen and towels ok, but floor and bathroom need a good cleaning. for 2 nights it is acceptable, when you are off all day, but we would have loved to take a swim after a hot day. and to wake up by the sound of wooden cowbells is special!

its a quiet basic hotel/motel with a pool(could not use as of all the rain)food was o.k and meow the hotel manager is an excellent tour guide to sukhothai and the out lying areas.not fancy but good enought for me.

The hotel is mismanaged. Rooms are really dirty. Only floor was clean, but other places like shelves, TV or bathroom looked as if were never cleaned. There were no proper linens on the bed, only mattress case and a bed cover. Kettle and fridge are dirty and dated. Heating device in the bathroom seemed turned on, but water was still cold. Room to the bathroom is broken and cannot be closed. Another problem was noise. The doors are really loud, so when someone opens front or bathroom door in one room, the whole building is shaking. I used good earplugs, but they did not really helped. Location shown on google maps is wrong. The real one is the next street, about half kilometer away. When we were looking for the hotel, we tried to reach them by the phone number provided but no one picked up. Good points: - very friendly staff - nice view to paddy fields, quiet at night - air conditioner is quite okay

Abandoned guesthouse in the middle of nowhere..”

Apparently the owner of the hotel is abroad and has left the hotel in decay. When we arrived no one seemed to be there, no guests and an abandoned site with two dogs almost attacking us. With the help of a neighbour we did find some staff; a woman plus a young girl and two old people who tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. But: no restaurant, no free breakfast or any food or drinks on site at all (at least 2 kilometer to first shop), the jacuzzi was a mud pool and the swimming pool had not been cleaned for years. Definitely no 3,5 star accomodation, should in fact close shop and be removed from Agoda. The few people there cannot cope with years of lack of maintenance. We are flexible and stayed but should get money back for all the things that were not delivered..

Run down, not so clean”

However, for this place, they do not have hired help and it's hard to maintain. You could tell they don't wipe down the walls or dust (visible cobwebs in thresholds and some trash strewn across various areas of the compound). Also during the winter season, their lake and pool was not full of water, so swimming really wasn't a pleasant possibility, even though that was one of the criteria I had used in selecting this place. What I did like were the complimentary rides into town (it's a nice bike ride if you prefer, though), their breakfasts were very pleasant (toast, fresh eggs from their pretty chickens and a platter of fresh fruit), and the one dinner I had was very good (the owner customized the dish upon request). If you are just looking to crash at a place, this is fine. If you are looking to hang out by the pool and relax, I would not choose this place.

Aunque un poco viejo, el sitio tiene bastante encanto rodeado de montañas. Si buscas un sitio tranquilo donde descansar un par de días no lo pienses. Mi amiga y yo quedamos encantadísimas con la dueña, Meao, que nos trató en todo momento como a sus hijas. Ella se encarga de todo como el transporte al pueblo, llevarte al parque histórico y reservarte los billetes de autobús si quieres viajar desde allí. Es encantadora y se defiende muy bien en inglés, así que no tendréis problema en comunicaros con ella. Si queréis comer o cenar allí, la comida está muy buena y la cocina ella misma. Por ese precio, creo que Mountain View es una opción muy recomendable.

Accueil tres souriant familial. Il faut toute fois préciser que cet hôtel se situe à 6 ou 7 km de la vieille ville (old city) ce qui oblige à prendre les repas à l hôtel. Les repas y sont simples mais bon et copieux et à des tarifs raisonnables. Le petit dejeuner est assez copieux (pain home made) La proprietaire est charmante et tres serviable. Elle assure gratuitement les déplacements vers old city.

Hotel am Ende der Welt, Beschreibung stimmt nicht”

Die Lage "Nähe historische Altstadt" ist stark übertrieben. Außerdem ist da weit und breit nichts. Liegt völlig im Nirwana. Als wir ankamen war niemand da der auch nur ein Wort Englisch verstand. Dann gab es Zimmer am Pool, die hatten Internet aber keinen Kühlschrank. Bei den anderen Zimmern war es umgekehrt. Später kam dann doch noch jemand, der Englisch sprach. Das Essen zu teuer - aber es gibt ja weit und breit keine Alternative. Service im Restaurant schlecht bis nicht vorhanden. Das kostenlose Wasser gab es erst auf Nachfrage. War ausgegangen. Das sind zwar nur ein paar Baht, aber insgesamt ist es sehr ärgerlich wenn die angebotenen Leistungen nur teilweise bzw. auf Nachfrage erbracht werden.

Sehr nette Gastgeber. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir wurden sehr lecker bekocht und auch zur Stadt gefahren! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber sowie auch die ganze Anlage gepflegt! Wer Ruhe und Entspannung zu bezahlbaren Preisen sucht ist hier gut aufgehoben!
