Pathetic”

This is really the most pathetic Hotel. Describtion and reality are so far away and never happened to me. There is nothing wrong to run a cheap budget Hotel but please dont make up fantasy stories about yourself and mislead customers to book with you.

Clean basic hotel”

Really hard to find this hotel if you dont speak Thai. Lacation is on small soi.Big clean rooms. I had four lamps and none of them worked and they fixed them when I asked, no problem.

Old & bad location”

old & suit for resident not for tourist , wifi not good , very difficult to find . location is small soi

Great hotel withfriendly staff.”

When we arrived the owner could see we had two heavy cases so he gave us an upgrade to a ground floor family room at no extra cost.The staff were all helpful an cheerfull.The room rate included breakfast which was excellent.The hotel was in a quiet small side road with no traffic noise.

No hesitation to recommend”

If all Guesthouses in Thailand were like this, I'd be happy. The breakfast is very good & we enjoyed the Thai food also, the restaurant area is lovely with lots of plants, birds, fish! a good place to meet others travelling over a cold beer in the evening. Lovely staff, great owners and a homesome feel. Location is on a quiet side street and not too far to walk to the old city. Room is spacious with new tv, fridge, good furniture and a big bathroom - excellent value.

Nice Place”

Close to the old city, with very nice public area. A bit of a shlep from the bus station, however. Uhh, what else can I say.. Oh yeah, the breakfast was quite good, and the markets nearby had really good take away food.

Thepvong Place”

On arrival we were upgraded to two family rooms. I had to made a booking for a family room and a Standard deluxe, as only one of each was available at the time of booking, and it seems the owner, a nice English folk was aware about that fact. The rooms were basic, but had everything one would need for an overnight. Finding it was easy enough, and space for car parking is available. We decided to have dinner in the attached inexpensive restaurant, as I knew from previous stays in Phrae that choices are limited.

Much nicer than it looks”

Although the hotel is just a standard modern three storey building on the outside, inside it is pleasant and comfortable. The double rooms, with AC, flatscreen tv and a nice shower room, are attractive and good value for money. Breakfast is included in the price and there is free coffee or chocolate available at any time so the hotel offers a good deal to travellers. The little roofed outdoor restaurant area at the back of the hotel - behind the small car park - is pleasant and the food is fine, especially the rice soup. Other guests there seemed happy with the place, not least because the staff are very pleasant indeed: friendly and helpful. If you want a basic, but comfortable place to staff in Phrae, this is it.

family run apartment not exactly a hotel”

this rental (daily and monthly) apartment is located in a very narrow soi. nothing very special, nor bad about the place. you get what you paid for.

just a downtown guesthouse”

very disappointing place as nobody welcome you in english upon arrival . rooms are very basic and have bad smell . no atmosphere and any taste to make guest feeling in a thai atmosphere . no wifi as it was announced on the their website but only 1 computer with internet access . breakfast is correct . i booked for 2 nights there but because poor service, very simple rooms and depressing ambiance, i decided to leave that place after spending 1 night only !

Friendly budget hotel offering very good value”

this is a budget hotel run by a very friendly family. rooms are quite large and clean. food is also very good and there is live music every night. the hotel pffers very good value especially as breakfast is included.

we only went to phrae because we had thai friends there. not much to do in the very quiet town other than see temples and landmarks. all businesses signs are in thai. good luck trying to find restaurants unless you have someone to guide you.

was a bit tricky to find but once i had contacted them staff were sent out to meet us....be sure to take down the phone number.if i had not made further travel arrangements i woiuld have stayed longer.

Family Hotel”

The staff is very friendly. From around 8 starts the room service to make up the rooms where you can watch every step because apparently the walls are not thick. All in all, it was a very nice holiday and a nice hotel.

nice hotel little musty on ground floor. for the price it was a decent value. staff was useful and helpful.

Stayed 5 nights, very helpful staff, cooked my own market-bought leafy greens each night... who could ask for more?

Friendly, clean and super location”

hotel and staff manage to be very professional yet casual, friendly and very helpful. the restaurant area is a bit like the family backyard and a bit like a lovely local garden pub. live music in evening. found a great driver for me with good english! lots to see in surrounding small towns so being able to get a good driver was fantastic. will stay there again!
