good location and big hotel but quite old facility for some part is broken/ not good condition ,the location nearby historical temple or park around 2 Kms,swimming pool is clean and nice breakfast

Would not recommend”
We had spider webs (and the spider) in the bathroom and ants in the bedroom. Towels were run down, shower tube was broken so lost a lot of water that spilled all over the bathroom. Room is in desperate need of paint. Bed is rather sagged, we could feel every spring :/ But A/C was working! Unfortunately though no dark mode so it was too bright for us at night. Bed was clean though.

Hotel in Ruins”
iIn Shukhotai have more than the ruins of the temples, the ruins of this hotel. In then past was colosal and luxury hotel but looks totally abbandon sincen30, 40 years ago. I never saw something like that, it deserves an excursion there, but never sleep there.

My first stay in Thailand”
Being my first time in Thailand and a little wary of my surroundings, I was at ease when I arrived at the hotel with the friendly atmosphere and the service the staff gave to me. I was also worried about the food but once again the variation was tremendous. I used both the buffet and the menu on occassions and the food was excellent. The hotel was located in a good central area and your staff guided me to where I wanted to go and for the transport to use. I used the local bus on several occasions to the Historic Park and to the shopping areas and the cost was negligable but again the service of the local people was excellent. I would definately come again to the Pailyn Hotel and would recommend this to any friend who would like to experience the cultral side of Thailand.

A quiet retreat to relax the soul”
The hotel is a grand hotel with an incredible inner courtyard. At night, there are practically no lights to be seen around the hotel. Feels like you are in the jungle. Sukhothai historical sites are a must see on any visit to Thailand. A short excursion from the hotel will get you there without spending a lot of travel time. The Thai traditional massages arranged through the hotel were the best my wife and I have ever had, and my wife is Thai.

the pailyn hotel is a great place to visit it is situated close to the old city the staff are helpful and friendly and the pool is nice it is a great place for a family to relax the food is nice with a great variety of Asian and western food for the price i would highly recommend this hotel.

Basic hotel in great location”
hotel was 4km from the sukhothai historical park. nice pool for cooling off. very busy with weddings and events. -- nice way to see some of the local culture. large breakfast buffet. room was basic but had everything that was needed.

Good Location decent size rooms”
The Pailyn is way out in the country and a very large complex. Some reviews have mentioned the noise, but even with 4 big groups descending upon the hotel, I never heard a thing. If you need the hotel's shuttle service, it is expensive to get to Phitsanulok. The pool is lovely and clean in the center of one of the hotel's pods. Good for a short stay, since there is very little around it for a farang to do after renting a bicycle to peddle around the park. Many language barriers, not much English spoken by anybody, so one has to be patient and forbearing to make your wishes understood. the bellman has the best English there and we had to have him come over to smooth out a language mess at the front desk.

Sukhothai week end”
Everyting was nice, front desk personel, restaurant for food not ｊｕｓｔ for breakfast but diner also was good quality, service and price. We add a superior room and it was perfect. The pool was very nice, and we where at a short distance of the historical park so it was easy to reach by bicycle. A mariage apend on saturday nigth and nothing disturb us and they where 500 invited. A wonderfull week end in a beautifull "atmosphere"

Good Value but old hotel”
I would recommend this hotel as long as you understand it’s limitations. The price reflects what you get. It is a big old hotel and the stand out point is the staff who were very good and helpful. The hotel itself is, or rather was, very grand for the area. It is situated half way between Sukhothai city and the Historical Park which makes it a bit remote if you do not have your own travel. This can be offset by using the local sailors which can be arranged easily and are not expensive (nor cheap). Breakfast was okay, no other meal services or bar was available. Rooms are clean and basic. Internet is good, room tv limited to one channel. Easy to find and useful as a place to stop while touring the area. Basic and would probably be too expensive if they fixed it up. Swimming pool okay.

Located on the main highway”
This hotel provides clean comfortable rooms with a well stocked buffet breakfast.The furnishings in the room were of bamboo and appeared to have stood the test of time and still look fresh.The swimming pool was clean but the hotel could do with a general tidy up outside near the pool.The staff were friendly but seemed a little shy around foreigners.This hotel is in a good location to visit the Historical Park but a car is required or use of the local transport to get around.

old-ish hotel but still convenient”
The Pailyn is looking a bit worn, but the rooms are still adequate and good value for the price. Service is efficient and the breakfast is adequate (good coffee). The hotel is situated not too far away from the old city with its ruins and museum, and is easy to find, being on the main road from the new town.

OK for 1 night stay”
Pailyn is a large older style hotel comprising 2 accommodation blocks and a central lobby, atrium, etc - only 1 of the accommodations blocks with 105 rooms appeared to be operational and the general condition of the building and grounds indicated minimum maintenance. Only 1 of 2 lifts were operational and the interior of the operating lift looked like a much used goods lift - the lift was restricted to max 5 people. The hotel was easy to find and was well located alongside the main road between New Sukhothai and the Sukhothai Historical Park. The room was a good size with a new air-conditioner but the mattress was pretty uncomfortable. The shower was over a very high bath and not easy to get into for someone who was elderly with a knee problem - also there was nothing to hang onto to avoid a fall. WiFi was restricted to the lobby which these days is somewhat of a drawback.

Basic 3 star hotel suitable for short stays”
the pailyn hotel is located 4 klms from the historical park and 8 klms from the old city center. very well suited for car travelers as its on the main road from tak, and has plenty of parking area. the bedrooms are basic with rather cheap fittings, stained wall tiles in bathroom and bare wires hanging from ceiling. on the plus side there is free wi-fi available but it only works in the reception area. room safe's are located in each bedroom which are needed as the door locks are poor quality. a hotel most suitable for one night stays for car travelers.

Pailyn Hotel - Sukhothai”
My first time stating here and I would come again. The main purpose of my visit was to visit the two historic parks and this hotel is very conveniant. Hired the hotel minibus to do this and the service was so good that I also hired them to take me back to Bangkok. The rooms were good 3* standard and the restaurant food more than acceptable. It's a bit outside the town so not too good for strolling into the main drag at night.

Basic Hotel - Close to the Historical Park”
very simple and worn thai hotel in sukhothai, just a couple km's from the historical park. the hotel itself just feels worn out. it's got an eerily green pool, a decent restaurant, and wi-fi in the lobby. the rooms are simple and clean, the beds are comfortable and there's a/c in the rooms. if you need a place to crash for a couple nights in sukhothai, this place isn't bad. i don't think i'd stay here for more than a night or two though.
