Great location but simple rooms”
Stayed at Phalarn Inn only for one night due to location being very near to pier. Was going to Full moon party on Oct 12 2011. When i arrive at the Inn, it was pretty late due to flight delay. What made me and my wife feel so good is Sugar (the owner) was there waiting for my arrival and address me by my name. Felt so welcome and was brought to our room immediately without any hassle of any paperwork which should be the way as room has already been paid through agoda.com. After our party over at Koh Phangan, we came back to Koh Samui Maenam Pier. As we had a couple of hours before our flight back to S'pore, we went back to Phalarn Inn to look for Sugar who gladly put us up at her humble Inn. We had our lunch there and she even drove us to Airport herself for a small fee. The accomodation is simple not for people who wants to enjoy the luxury of hotel amenities. It was memorable simply because of Sugar who made me feel right at home.

Great Resort with family touch”
We have stayed at Phalarn Inn for 6 nights and a really happy about our choice. Main reason for this is the personal touch the owner brings to this really nice place. Sugar, owning the Resort and also a bar belonging to this is a very friendly and helpul Young Lady always being there in case of any questions or matters. The Resort itself is beautiful and maintained with a lot of care. The Bungalow was always clean and as expected. We definitly recommend this place.

Perfect spot, quiet, comfy, great staff!”
I stopped in Samui to connect to Phangan and there's no better spot that Phalarn Inn as the Lomphraya dock is literally right at the back of the hotel! Owner was such a sweet lady. The room was cozy, clean, and quite. It left a lot of impression in such a short time.

We loved staying here, Sugar was so friendly and helpful! For the price ( thb) the rooms were fine, and the fan was plenty adequate at keeping the room cool. The pool is lovely, and has outdoor showers and lounges. I will be coming back if I return to Samui

i was there only for a few hours. just to sleep and catch the ferry the next morning. the bungallow was clean, there was a tv, hot shower and a fan. for the price i paid, i say it,s the best deal i had so far. there's even a pool.

Hotel near the pier”
We chose the hotel because its proximity to Lomprayah’s pier and they were really close to each other. Apart from that, the garden and the swimming pool were very nice, the room no so much but we didn’t pay much either. Breakfast was not included but it was not expensive at all to buy food at the hotel’s bar. Although the beach was nice it was also full of garbage, but I think that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

I really enjoyed the stay although it was only one night as I took the Lomprayah to visit my friends in Koh Phangan. The location was so convenient for the ferry in the morning.

Accommodating hotel near the beach”
stayed here with 4 of us - 2 couples. great staff, with motorbike rental across the road from a sister of the owner. id recommend the cheapest room to rent- complete with hot water and a/c. the larger room are double the price, and without hot water and only a fan. odd that the less expensive rooms had more amenities. overall, great place to stay.

Very friendly hotel, good value”
situated in a quiet area, with 100m walk to the beach. sugar, the manager, was very helpful and friendly, and speaks good english. food is decent and very reasonably priced. make sure you bring mosquito-repellant, as this can be a bit annoying during the hours around and after sunset. do not expect five star rooms, but very good value for money, with the basic facilities and clean rooms. plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby, should you choose to eat out.

Relaxing but small room”
it was nice, but the internet had said they would pick us up and they did not. maybe if we had flown, but we came by boat, so that was an added $20us round trip we didn't expect. we booked the small fan room, which looked ok in the pictures but was incredibly small. no problem for just two of us though. we did have cockroaches every day, but it's the tropics, so not much to do about that. the pool is beautiful and relaxing, as is the atmosphere. you can walk to a nice beach and it's not far to the more touristy spots either. overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Would not go back”
We originally booked 4 nights at this hotel but only stayed 1 night. This was partly due to the area being too quiet (as we did visit out of the main/busy season) and partly down to the resort. We appeared to be the only guests staying at the resort and as a result was not once offered a drink or refreshment of any kind (even when we were both sat at the Restaurant/dining area). The 'safety deposit box' is a filing cabinet in the main lobby that did not seem very secure and when we asked one of the members of staff to show it to us she huffed about it. Staff overall were not very friendly. The one person we got a smile from was the lady working the day we departed, she also arranged a taxi for us to Chaweng-everyone else did not bother with a smile. From outside the bungalows appear lovely and are a great size for the price and on first appearances seemed lovely. However they were in fact quite dirty with dirt smeared up the walls and a dirty floor. Also the room itself was not very secure-some of the windows did not have locks on them. In the main season i'm sure this resort is lovely and perhaps the staff are more friendly then too but we would not visit this resort again.

Good Budget Resort”
the only beach in walkable distance and was a narrow filthy strip of pebble sand, empty bottles, flip flops, and other rubbish that washes up from the sea. resort was good but location was poor.

Friendly owner, good food reasonably priced (also good restaurant and massage opposite end of drive. Nice clean small pool, bedrooms could do with a proper clean through. Would go back

Nice hotel, good value for money”
We had a nice time there. The cheapest room is very basic and full of mosquitoes so you should definitely pay a bit more because the other rooms are much better. The swimming pool and the restaurants are nice. The staff is adorable and really helpful.

Quiet and with a lovely pool!”
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful with a great pool and perfect if you want to go to the islands as the ferry is 1 min walk. The bungalows are simple and a little tired but perfectly adequate for the money. I didnt really rate the food in the restaurant but it is nice not to have to venture too far if you dont feel like it! Free Wifi too.
