Same prices like a hostel if you travel as a Duo. Really nice and comfortable rooms, clean, Great service. Beautiful view from the roof top, huge breakfast buffet included. Absolutely recommended, would definitely come again!

Clean, central, great staff”

I'm a solo 30 year old backpacker who booked a night here to take a half day tour of Bodhi Tataung & Thanboddhay. Got a single room, it was clean and stocked with water & soda. Right next to a fun night market and has a good buffet breakfast on the rooftop. Hotel staff is helpful and very kind. I'd normally stay in a hostel but there wasn't one available in Monywa, so this was a nice (if costlier) alternative.

there honestly aren't many options in Monywa, so we chose Chindwin, thankfully the staff were really nice and superbly helpful to plan our next stop and travel, breakfast was great as well. Try their local noodles! Yummy! Room was comfortable too, clean, bathroom facilities a little old, and lacking of hot water.

Probably the best option in Monywa”

Very convenient place and the staff (as always in Myanmar) were great. It was good value for money. However, the breakfast was miserable and the hotel has an ageing feel about it, though the room we were given was vast and had good views. Internet was good.

A good location to visit Monywa”

It's a big surprising to visit Phowin Taung cave in Monywa. The hotel is not far from bus station. Its location is very good while staying in Monywa.

Location is great, staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast has a lot of variety and good. Only problem is water in the shower is barely warm.

lack of sense of customer satisfaction ”

I had my business staff stay at this hotel. They put her in a room next to their warehouse and refused to move to a different location, when in fact they had a room available as it is an offseason. The staff just move to another hotel and no refund was received.

Nice breakfast”

It's a nice hotel located in the center of city. The breakfast is very delicious and they also give you one coupon for a free cocktail on their sky bar! However, the supply of hot water is not very steady. I sometimes got cold water.

Cheapest hotel available ”

Hotel was nice but as a backpacker was way over my budget. Stayed for one night in one of the single rooms ($35) on the ground floor. room was surprisingly spacious. nice shower and bathroom. TV with some english channels. Staff booked my bus ticket to Bagan and booked a motorbike taxi to take me to the giant Buddhas (they are currently building a sitting buddha to go along with the standing and reclining ones, don't know when it will be finished) and the Thanbodday Pagoda. All in all very nice but too expensive.

Book the suite!”

We booked the suite and although the most expensive option it was worth it. Huge room with seating area and lots of windows overlooking the city (as long as you opened them - couldn't see a thing otherwise - incredibly dirty!). Views from the top of the hotel where the restaurant is located are great. Close to night market along the street and some ok restaurants. Monywa is a normal burmese town with few tourists. Good for a day or two stopover. Be sure to see the caves, huge standing buddha (glitzy and a bit ridiculous but you can walk up 27 floors inside - gets quieter and more peaceful the further you go), and the riotous colored and adorned hindu temple Here's the names of the three attractions. Enjoy! Po Win Daung caves Thanboddhay Paya - hindu - great! bodhi tatuang - big buddha 28 floors

Great Hotel”

Hotel is very nice, clean and modern. Flat tv, nice bathroom, fridge, aircon, and I had standard room. Staff are excellent, will do anything and everything to help. 10 minute walk from train station, about 2 km from bus station, one minute walk to night food market, lots of really good street food for about $1.5US for curry and rice with sides. Hotel will call tuk tuk to take you to see big buddha and pagoda about 20km away, cost me 10,000 kyat ($10) total for 2 of us, 4 hour round trip. Big Buddha is not to be missed.
