A Very Charming Encounter!”

This was our first travel to Poland and we've been told before from online videos that Polish are gloomy and not nice but it never happened in the hotel! From we first arrived, the front desk girl (unfortunately I forgot her name) is super friendly and helpful and he showed us where to go around in detail. Some of her recommendation were proven to be our best experience in Gdansk :) The hotel is between bus & train station and main square so it was very convenient for us and our luggage, there's also a mall and convenience store across the street to find food and daily necessities. Definitely will stay here again in our next visit in Gdansk!

Great, but...!”

Great experience, nice hotel staff. A walking distance to Madison Centre and a super nice sushi restaurant right infront of the hotel, which is great. The only negativity about this place is that we found a silverfish at the hotel bathroom. I hope the hotel would do something about this.. I know that it is hard to get rid of, but I think no guests wants to have some silverfish in their luggages and bringing them home... otherwise, it was a nice and cozy stay. The view is just AMAZING! but, because of the silverfish, I would not recommend this hotel to others...

Nice a beautiful hotel to start the city exploring”

The hotel is is walking distance from the main railway and bus stations. The hotel is well standardized. It has everything you need in your city exploration trip: on the centre of the city at the edge of old town, nourishing breakfast, friendly personnel, well furnished rooms with useful amenities. A bathroom is tiny but very cost and with touch of stile in details. It's even more than a regular 4*-hotel. We didn't spend much time in the room, most of time we were exploring medieval beautiful merchant Gdansk, and the activity brings real pleasure to an adventurer! The town has much to see: port, churches, walls of castle, old houses, plenty of museums, amber shops etc. We got very pleasant city break experience as well as a very pleasant stay in Mercure hotel in Gdansk.

Super hotel in Gdansk”

Great service from the hotel staff from start to finish. Rooms are extremely modern and very well kept. Cleaning is second to none. Rooms have free water (aerated and still) + Nespresso machines! Flat screen TV with lots of channels in many languages. Well located in central Gdansk, a short stroll to the Old Town Centre and very close to the main train station and a shopping centre. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers.

So close to everything and the Madison Shopping Centre is right across and great. Breakfast is wonderfull and the staff are lovely. It is a pleasant walk down to the Marina and souvenir shops. I loved every minute.

Great hotel”

Hotel short walk to main bus and train station, pleasant walk to Old Town. Our room on 17th floor overlooking Old Town. Room was good size also bathroom, both nice and clean. Big shopping centre very handy - same street, next block.

Great location, very comfy rooms!”

There were taxis waiting to drive you around (or to the airport in my case), which was very convenient. The hotel itself was very nice, and the restaurant included in it turned out to be a godsend since everything else was closed for the holidays while I was there.

Disapointing”

Disapointed with our stay here. Location and cleanliness were fine. Checkin was good. The mini safe was locked in our room. We asked at reception several times during our stay for someone to unlock it for us. No one unlocked it for us. The maximum shower head height is not adequate for anyone taller that 155cm. This was the same for everyones rooms in our group (4th floor rooms). Long delays getting served at the hotel bar. I would not recomend this Mercure hotel to friends or stay here again.

Great location but small rooms”

Good location nearby a shoppingmall and old town. Mostly friendly staff except one night when I got to experience very poor attitude service, when I call the reception and this guy come up to fix a lamp and give us slippers, which has been forgotten. That guy was very mad because of the "inconvenience" we did him. Totally no service mind at all. The rooms and the bed(king?) are too small, and when I asked if there´s any bigger room with bigger beds...the reception said NO. I guess this hotel doesnt have any bigger then.

Great hotel near the train station”

we only stayed one night and needed to get up early to take a train the next day. the hotel was perfect for this. really close to the train station but also within easy walking distance to the main sights. 10 minutes to the historic city centre and 3 minutes to the train station

Easy to find (high building) and attend. Nice and big entrance. Silent and conveniante rooms with good beds.

Issues”

I thought the staff could have been more friendly for sure. I was not impressed but there attitude in general. More importantly, in my bathroom, room 611, there was a few issues. Firstly, it looked as if the glass shower screen had not been properly scrubbed in the bottom corner and it was becoming very ugly with regards to neglect due to the calcification that can happen.. It did not look good. Secondly, on the bathroom door there was a small but very conspicuous chip in the wood which mad the door look tatty and ugly and worse was one side of the door frame was coming off. This was really disappointing as just a little bit of attention could resolve these issues.. They are important as it shows neglect and an attitude of neglect which is not what one wants to experience when one pays good money for supposedly a nice room. Lastly I dropped a coin under the bed and found lots of rubbish there. You need to make sure under the beds are clean and not left with plastic from men's shirts.
