Pune Central hotels & places to stay

I stayed at Pride hotel after 10 years, I found the same kind of hospitality that i had experienced back in 2009. Staff is familiar and courteous. Food is good. However, i was bit disappointed to notice improper cleanliness in my room this time, particularly bathroom. I could find dust flying around in the wardrobe, while taking out slippers from there. Request you to please maintain and be very careful to prepare the room before guest arrival. I would always like to come back and stay at Hotel Pride in Pune. Thanks and Good Luck !!

I was bit worries after reading few negative reviews but our experience staying with two young kids in the Delux room was awesome. Service is great, breakfast spread is excellent with on request options. Rooms are reasonable in size and location is very handy. Only negative - hotel is bit smaller compared to other 4/5 star hotels, may be due to its location but rooms are good size. Stayed for 5 nights, overall great experience. Highly recommended!

Hotel woodland in pune is very best hotel for anyone to stay because its very awesome, its interiors are fabulous, also its very much near to pune station. so anyone who wants ambiance, suitability, rest, or anything, this hotel woodland is very nice. Apart from that, hotel staffs are very very much co-operative. thanks & hats off to all the staffs of hotel woodland in pune city.

I visited Pune to meet a friend and stayed here for 1 night only. The best part of the hotel - it is bang opposite Pune railway station hence didn’t need to travel a long distance.. kudos to the strategic location! The lobby is warm and welcoming with chandelier and nice peacock paintings which set a warm and welcome tone. I am told the hotel is refurbished and has been done to make it more contemporary and add to the newness factor. The lobby has a small cafe ( can’t recall the name) which serves quick tea coffee sandwiches etc.. the lady - Elizabeth - if I recall was a very warm and sweet lady who helped in quick check in’s since the front desk was attending to some other customers. She was amongst the oldest staff at stage hotel. Pleasant , soft spoken and professional who knew that hotel and service industry is all about managing people and expectations! Pleased to meet a lady like you madam:) The hotel also has a salon, a bar and a book shop which added to the facilities the hotel offered. There was some corporate event so couldn’t see the ballroom but am assuming a mid sized MICE event can be conducted smoothly. The 24 hour coffee shop served buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. 1 thing to note — the hotel also offers spa. Seems from Monday - Friday from 10:00AM- 03:00PM they offer 50% discount. I did he spa and found the services between average - good. Guess spa services everywhere are the same. The steam was getting a bit stuffy and claustrophobic beyond a point. Had dinner at the rooftop restaurant- Indian - can’t remember the name. The ambiance and dimly lit place made a perfect time to enjoy. The floor has a pool also which was of course closed. It was pleasant with cool breeze making the experience even more memorable. No high walls and paintings but dimly lit lanterns with cross ventilation made the experience pleasant. Hotel Sagar Plaza I booked for nostalgia. 25yrs ago my Father had brought me to this four star hotel for my engineering admission process. This time I got my kids. The hotel is nice although furniture looks a bit outdated and bathroom water flow etc could be better. What makes it great four star stay is the staff. They are super excellent. The breakfast is good and staff there are very friendly and helpful. The reception staff Vikas went out of his way to help my multiple times. When my flights needed to be changed I used his phone and more importantly I needed the EPL channels on my room tv which weren’t there. In 2hrs he arranged for another set top box in my room and I got all my beloved sports channels here. I will return and stay and Sagar Plaza whenever am at pune. Stayed here for 3 nights and it's by far the best hotel I've stayed at in India, during my past month of traveling. Front desk staff, porters, cleaners, restaurant manager and staff all very friendly. Great variety of food at buffet breakfast. Restaurant food is high quality. Rooms are comfortable, cleaned every day with great ventilation. Bathroom is spotless with everything in good working order. Location is good and in a quiet street. Movies cinemas and a western style boutique pub next door. 500m walk and you can experience some real Pune, with numerous shops and good local restaurant bars. Also train station is very close to the hotel. Just book a room, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre is elegant and beautifully styled. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are modern. But the jewel in the crown is definitely the Shakahari Restaurant led by Harkaran Singh and offering a fusion of vegetarian cuisines prepared in multiple Asian and Indian styles with outstanding friendly service. Powan Kalyani at the Spice Kitchen alos made the breakfast experience very interesting with his juice concoctions and conversion.

It was a comfortable stay at the Hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good. and the staff was cordial. Though there was some problem with the basic understanding of the staff at the reception as they took approx. 15 minutes to know how to deal with the guest who had pre-booked the room online and there wasn't any charge to be collected. Rest everything was normal.

1) Room furnishings are smelly and mouldy especially the inner lace curtain which had a visible layer of dust and lint.. Deep cleaning of rooms should be done once a a month. 2) Although the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking there is evidence of a cigarette burn on the curtain - I have a photo. 3) The foam cushion in the sofa is also smelly. This is because as foam rubber ages it exudes a faint smell. 4) Except for towels, toiletries were not provided. I had to ask for a toothbrush and soap which I received. The soap was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel - just 1.5 inches square, I have a photo. 5) The restaurant staff were white shirts and black trousers. The white shirts are so worn out that they have turned grey. From the service they provide it is evident that they are not professional waiters but handymen who are employed as waiters as handymen cost less. 6) The airconditioning in common area is off most of the time - obviously this is cost saving. 7) The less said about the restaurant food the better - this is obviously related to lack of professional qualifications of the concerned dept. On the plus side the staff is friendly but not professionally trained. It is evident that the hotel is desperately keeping costs down by not investing in the property, nor in professionally trained staff nor in amenities / toiletries. Overall the hotel is worth the price but it is a depressing stay if you have experienced the top international hotels. My recommendatons are: 1) Refresh the rooms and interior of the hotel 2)Professionally train the staff 3) If budget is a constraint raise price by 15% 4)The general manager should be present at the property as he is not based here . 5) With a little professional care and attention this could be a great hotel. The Executive Rooms are Non-AC. The Deluxe Rooms are AC. No-Wi fi was offered. The room is compact with very old furniture and fittings. But, the bed was nicely done and it had acceptably clean linen and pillow covers. The hotel is right on the main road at a intersection roads. Every room has a balcony to sit in - WHICH IS AMAZING! Food is not included, but can be ordered from a restaurant under the hotel. Or, you can Swiggy, etc. The toilet was basic, but had enough water (hot and cold) and soap was provided. This is a good hotel at a very competitive price for solo travellers and even couples. Even families can stay here - but opt for Deluxe rooms. Don't expect facilities you get at 3* and 4* hotels. This is a 1* hotel, but for the price they charge, they gave a almost 4* experience.

we were a group of 8 adults and 1 child. we booked 4 standard non a/c rooms for night stay while doing ashtavinayak yatra. two of the four rooms were too small to accommodate even two members. there is a common gallery shared between two rooms. so if adjacent room is occupied, then the gallery door will have to be kept closed for the entire day and there is a risk to privacy. however, the best part of the hotel is that it is centrally located in the budhwar peth area of central pune. the rooms were very clean with hot water facility available during morning. the breakfast was included in our package. pls note that the breakfast was not the buffet breakfast. they served one plate of poha / upma for breakfast per member. extra plate of breakfast was charged. the hotel staff was very cordial and provided good room service.

I had an absolutely fabulous stay at Royalty!! I loved the room! I left to try out somewhere else, and left that place to come back to Royalty. It is very modern, impeccably clean, very comfortable, spacious and very relaxing. The AC and fan work wonderfully. It's also the little things that I loved. The showercap in the bathroom, leaving a paper at my door in the morning, and having multiple outlets to charge your electronics. I also love the breakfast in the morning. Eggs made to order, toast made to order, cereal, fruit, juice, Indian options (either uttapam, dosa, rice with sambar and chutney) and the first day they even had thin pancakes. I was in heaven. Service in the restaurant was impeccable! The staff remember my order after day one and would just start making it for me when I walked in the door. Loved that! The wifi works famously, in the rooms and in the seating areas on each floor. Everything is modern and beautiful. The staff is very professional and always willing to help you with whatever you need. I would recommend EVERYONE to stay here when in Pune!
