Old building and facility are normal, don’t expect 5* , but the overall experience is good, Jometoan beach is walkable distances. Parking is available in the basement.

I think this hotel had a glorious age. Currently It still quite good, a bit old and most of visitor stay here is Russian. A small pool about 1.4 meter depth, clean and a good view to see the sunset at Pattaya, not really impressed.

8 nights in the R-Con”
Generally okay and I would consider staying there again. However, it is not really a hotel more of a condo complex with a pool where rooms are rented out. The good points were very good but there were some surprising irritations which would be easy to fix. We rented a junior suite at a big discount which was well worth the extra space . The suite had two big bedrooms with huge comfortable king size beds, two bathrooms, a small eating area with a table but with only two chairs, a 30ft by 20ft lounge, and a private balcony by the pool which measured 8ft by 60ft. There was a TV screen in each bedroom and the lounge, with reasonable choice of channels. However, the bedroom furniture was totally inadequate for clothing storage, there was no coffee table in the lounge so that although we could sit on either of the two sofas there, we had nowhere to put drinks or snacks except the floor. A kettle was provided but no cups or mugs with handles, so we had to buy them to make hot drinks. The fridge worked very well but switched off when the key was taken out of the slot by the door, along with all the other electrics. There were no plastic chairs or sun loungers to use on the private balcony, which kind of destroyed the purpose of having the balcony. There were no towel rails in the bathrooms. The swimming pool was only 3ft deep along its entire length and not really suitable for adults swimming. The pool was clean despite it being a watering hole for the local pigeons, but there should have been a warning notice saying "No Diving" given the shallowness of the pool. The kids enjoyed the pool. There were tables, umbrellas and chairs by the pool, but no sun loungers. There were no other problem guests while we were there. The hotel dining room was not operational while we were there, but given the proximity to Jomtien beach road this was not a problem. The rooms were well cleaned and fresh towels provided every day.

Not a good hotel”
Location to the beach is 100m. Laundry service 10 meters. Rooms are very large for the money but have no kettle for tea or coffee, no hair dryer. Light bulbs not working, room had small kitchen but no plates,bowl and cutlery.Hotel is very dated and is in serious need of a refurbishment through out. Swimming pool was closed throughout our stay. Walk-in room rate is a lot cheaper than what is advertised on agoda. A lot better hotels in this area for what you pay at R-Con. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Not everything it promised to be”
The good bits about this hotel was that it was pretty close to the beach, within reach of some decent restaurants and the room was big. The pool was not bad, but really too shallow for any serious swimming. Now the not so good bits. The wifi is not included. It's 50B per day, or they do a week long pass for 200B, although helpfully they didn't tell us about this until a day before we checked out. The kitchenette is pointless. There is a kettle, but that's it. No cups, no saucepans, no bowls, no cutlery. For a family of four on a tight budget, we like to have at least a bit of breakfast before we venture out for the day. This was impossible in this kitchen. we begged for some teacups, which they grudgingly gave us from downstairs, but they would not give us plates, bowls, spoons or anything else. There is NO Breakfast at the hotel. There is a breakfast room, and in the photos it looks as if you can pay to have breakfast at home if you want to, but actually they are not serving any breakfast any more. If you want breakfast, the best place we found was the Now Hotel up the road, where you can get all you can eat buffet for 150B from 7 - 10am. The room was OK, the cleaners came every day, and it was plenty spacious for us all. But the kitchenette was a real disappointment and despite it's proximity to the beach it felt rather out of the way this far south of Pattaya.

Very good”
Great location with good price. I personally liked this place. Very spacious rooms and were very helpful letting us late check out and helping us leaving our bags behind so we can walk around lite after our check out . What I disliked is the pool closing at 6. And the staff are there 24 hours but have very little knowledge to help tourists. Staff are just employed because they can speak English but has no sense of hospitality not even greeting back a hello nor a simple smile just straight business and No clue about busses or direction of where to eat as breakfast is not an option at the facility.

Good value of money with helpful staff”
Staff is sincere and helpful. Very spacious room and the bed is incredibly soft and comfortable. We spent three nights there with good quality sleep and the dining room is very big with sofa included. Good place to re visit next time

Good, not not free wifi? ”
50 bath per user Internet WIFI it's a bit funny actually. But the place was almost empty when we were there. Very BIG and clean room, we stayed in a deluxe room. Nice and pretty big swimmingpool (clean). Close to shops and restaurant, 200 meters to the sea. GOOD!

Huge room, sea view, comfy beds, horrible staff”
Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Staff was quite rude when I called earlier to ask if it is possible for me to check in a bit early. The receptionist who answered the phone sounded like she was annoyed by me and said " definitely not, we've got so much work to do already we're not going to rush ourselves for anyone"....I'm not mad about not being able to get early check-in. That's totally understandable. I'm mad, however, about the staff's tone and manner of speaking which was quite rude and really made me feel totally unwelcome prior to my stay. She said it in a Its-your-problem-Im-not-gonna-help-in-anyway kind of tone. Once I got to the room, however, I love the layout. We got the seaview/pool view room which was very nice. My friends and I enjoyed our short stay a lot. The beds were comfy, the TV has lots of channels. The pool was clean. Overall, we had a really nice time, except the first impression with the staff of course.

Enjoyed the hotel accommodation and friendly/helpful staff. Our view from the balcony was of an unfinished building, so no view at all really, but this may have been reflected in the price? The hotel charge for use of WIFI which I believe should be free for paying guests.

Like I was dropped in Mascow”
The Hotel was filled with Russian tourist ? must be popular in Russia with the travel agency. (whole street was Russian populated) It has a very small pool with 10 chairs and is always full from 7:00 am until closing of the pool 7:00 pm. No restaurant, No bar, There is nothing to do at this hotel or in this area or the whole area. Most of the views from the rooms in the front of the hotel are views of Condos / Hotel directly in front of R-con hotel. walking up the street to go to the beach was a waste of time water was very dirty would not even walk or put my feet in it (could catch some disease from dirty water) I could not stand the conditions and checked out earl from what I booked and paid for Staff was very nice and seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had to work with.

The suite is big with 2 toilets but both shower head are broken. There is no available of additional pillow. There is no charges for wifi in this time (which see from comments need to pay during check out) The staff are nice and hardworking in doing housekeeping. Location is good if you are looking for quiet and near sea.

There is only one elevator which service 7 floors and hundreds of rooms, yet it doesn't work properly. Good things about this hotel is ample car park, good big swimming pool. The restaurant is close due to lack of efficient cook, though it can accommodate hundreds guests if in operation. All in all it worth the rate paid.
