Where to stay in Jeollanam
Jeollanam hotels & accommodations

The reception staff member was friendly, helpful, and fully English/Korean bilingual. The room was simple and clean, but not large (basically a little standing room next to the bed/in front of the desk). The location was great, as it was just a couple of blocks from the seaside walkway that has all of the various musicians and restaurants in the evening. ( 'Busking' ...

Location was perfect. Very close to dancing fountain and the sea shore. I would like to recommend them to replenish some aspects of facilities in bathroom. There was a gap between the joint of shower both. So after i made a shower, water was spilled out. And the cleaning was not enough, i could find a visible dust and sand everywhere. It is not suitable service for 4 s...

The hotel was clean and right next to a huge ship building dock, so lots of foreign guests. The room was very comfortable, but the beds were the standard Korean hard beds. We have 2 small kids and the room was large and had room for them to play. The dinner buffet was a little pricey, but excellent food.

This is our honeymoon trip to korea and we wanted to stay in a hotel with the best sea view, nearby seafood restaurant and most importantly, places for us to explore. Yeosu has all the needs for us. After experiencing once, till today i still can't forget the feeling when i was there, still wanting to experiencing it again. One word to describe, FANTASTIC !!!

My father and I really enjoyed this hotel, because it's very close to the Suncheon Wetlands, closer than the centre of Suncheon is to the Wetlands. There's always a taxi for you within a minute or two of asking at the front desk. The staff are superb. For example one young lady, Ga-Eun, even helped me to practice my Korean. Highly recommended.

One of the best guesthouses we have stayed in Korea. The owners are so kind and helpful. Despite that they are unable to speak English and with our limited Korean vocabularies, they would try their best to help us in every way. The owner even drove us to an attraction which he recommended. The guesthouse has many nearby local cuisine eateries and it’s located very nea...

Pros: Good value for the type of hotel this was. MVL was twice the price. Room was clean and front staff were professional and helpful. Cons: The location isn't the most ideal. Few taxi drivers had no clue where the hotel was as it is located in an obscure spot. It cost about 5000 won from the train station to the hotel. To get to anywhere from the hotel, it cost ab...

Well, the hotel is situated in front of the water. I booked the double room n asked for twin room at the spot. They said yes without extra charge. The lady at the front desk spoke prefect putunghua. She is soooo friendly. Of, there's a cosy cafe next to the lobby.

Just opened a few weeks ago - the whole building, furniture, equipment, bedding etc is brand new and spotless! Nicely located near the aquarium 15 minutes walk from expo station towards Odongo. I was in a lovely 4 bed dorm that had a large window with water views. Spacious bunk bed with comfy mattress. Nice bright bathroom was attached. Hair dryer, hair straightener an...

This hotel is right in the middle of the Suncheon restaurant district near the train station. I used it as a base camp to kick off a ride of the Seomjigang trail. I had to book same day to stay and only handful options for local hotel. I chose this hotel and when we checked in we were greeted by a nice lady. The hostess was very warm when welcoming us. She was thorough and helpful in going through all the facilities available in the room. Her command of English was good and easy to understand. Dinning options were aplenty within a short distance from the hotel, There was a well stocked supermarket around the corner. Everything was available.

Our stay here was great. The staff was a little unresponsive at first but when we had an issue with internet they were very fast and helpful. No WIFI, nothing to do close to the hotel just enjoy the nature. The ocean disappears leaving the boat stack in the beach. Goodstay Muan Beach Hotel smart choice for travelers, low forties here in Korea is not very common for...

My fiancee and I stayed here for a weekend. I was a little concerned by the other reviews, but it turns out that those people are just inordinately picky. We stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms and we could not have been happier. There was so much free stuff for us to use, the TV was big and nice, the bed was comfortable, and the bath was just incredible. The location is...

I really liked the Brown Hotel! My room was really comfortable. I think it had been something like a love hotel, and that explains some of the decor, but it isn't a love hotel anymore, it's been "rebranded" as a kind of business hotel. It is a great guesthouse, super comfortable and cozy. Starting from the location, guesthouse is 200m away from Suncheon Bus terminal which makes your arrival so easy... i left my bags in guesthouse and left for sightseeing. I really enjoyed my stay here. I didn’t realize it was a bit far from town but I had a good time nonetheless. This is a traditional Korea house, built in the traditional way. I can see a lot attentions that go into details of the building. My family selected this place to have "korean" experience. I am glad we made this choice. The location is 10min from city and restaurant by car. The owner speaks English very well and very helpful.

I stayed at Norway guesthouse for many days in Mopko. I was really surpeised by the passion and effort of the staff~~ [Location] Perfect. This comment should be for Nreem but not for Suncheon Namdo as it is closed. I am so sorry that i found difficulties to find the new location of the guesthouse as i had been to Suncheon Namdo just in April. We really enjoyed our stay here! You get 5 coins/person/night for free and you can use them in the hotel (beer 3 coins, washing machine 1 coin, breakfast 3 coins, etc). Really a cool idea! We ended up spending lots of time in the hotel bar, which is really cosy. Rooms are pretty small, we also didn't like that shower is in the toilet, so floor is wet after showering an...

The room was very comfortable and spacious and it comes with a water dispenser. We were allowed to check in earlier than the check-in time. The hotel is located less than 5 mins away from the Dancing Sea Fountain in Pyeonghwa Square and 15 mins walk to Gatbawi Rock.

The location was perfect for me. I arrived at the bus terminal and took a taxi to the hotel (2,800 won). The driver hadn't heard of the hotel, but it's very close to the train station, so I had him go there and followed the GPS to the hotel. It's back down a small alley which was still busy enough that I felt safe after dark. There are lots of small Korean restaurants ...

Theme Motel Mokpo was hard to find but an awesome place once we got there. Very clean. Spacious rooms & on a quiet street. You will be surrounded by other motels but its kind of quirky. If you're having trouble finding this place look for the huge white house type monument & the Greek sculptures. Its right next door.

At wintertime the room was too warm for me. I could hace changed for cooler room but I did not like it as much. The couple who kept the hotel was very friendly but they did not speak any English. They son was helping us to check-in. I liked the room, and the bed. They had bid tv and the pc in the room.

We did not know what to expect when we booked, but when we got to Yeosu, we were pleasantly surprised to find that U Castle was above the new business section of Yeosu and was relatively newer and very clean. The rooms are gigantic as are the baths, and the view of the city and surrounding hills are quite spectacular. The downside is that the hotel does not provide lun...

The pictures don't do this hotel much justice. Our room had a slight smell of cigarettes, but that was the only blemish. The room as spacious, clean, and had a very nice bathroom. The TV was also very nice. The location is only about 10 minutes walk from many restaurants and the waterfront. Also the nautical museum is only about a 4 minute taxi ride away.

I visited this hotel with my family... and very embarrassed.. Amenities were good, room condition was good. so i couldn't see any staff and the gate was actually hidden in the garage... there were some cookies and candies and coffee in the 'lobby' but there was no staff at all! We stayed here with our young kids while visiting the Damyang Bamboo Forest. The rooms were adequate & clean (we had a fridge and stove for cooking). This is probably the best hotel that you can possibly find in Yeosu. It is VERY pricey for what its worth but the hotel is relatively luxurious with nice silky bed sheets, clean room throughout, and most of all, the view of Yeosu sea. I highly recommend this place if you do not mind spending a bit of money and get an amazing view.
