we made the right choice!”

From Suvarnabhumi Airport, we took a tourist shuttle bus to Pattaya (about 2 hrs) and stopped at a terminal to transfer to a shuttle van that would transport us to our hotel. we passed by a string of small to good sized hotels, uncertain how our Royal Cliff choice would relate from beautiful pictures to the actual thing. When we reached Royal Cliff, away from all the bustle of busy Pattaya, my first impression was "paradise!". our well appointed mini-suite was as promised in the pictures; Agoda has made everything easy for us. Checking in was a breeze. all the amenities provided nothing but tranquil relaxation for our family, giving us every opportunity to bond and have fun together. since its quite a distance from the town proper, taxi cab is the mode of transport often used to get to night markets, outlets and the thousands of restaurants. It is best to know though beforehand of any special events or holidays because some roads are closed to traffic. in our case, the Sonkran Festival made us miss the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Truth,eg. but we were able to go to Buddha Hill near our hotel amd it was such a great experience. Thais are quite as hospitable as Filipinos and that is just great!

Royal Cliff Beach Hotel”

My 1st time at Royal Cliff Beach resort-Pataya with girl gang: I was amazed with the size of the hotel and all facilities lying up for us to consume. For example; 2 swimming pools, tennis court, spa and etc. I liked my breakfast alot with good service and good view. Moreover, when I entered the room, I was speechless with its beauty which is the mixture of modern and Thai style with a private leisure corner in the room. It worths the price we paid through agoda (with discount of course). What I was not impressed was the private beach! I wouldn't call it a private beach because we needed to walk to another part of the beach, not right down from the hotel. From my experience in another hotel in the same area, I just walked down stairs and went directly to the beach!!! I would recommend this hotel for the family outings as it will satisfy everyone and for a special treat for couple. However, I wouldn't recomment a budget traveller, as this hotel is too pricey for what you can get compared to other hotels in Pataya in the same area. The transportation to town-The Walking Street- is the main problem. Though the hotel provides the shuttle bus, the seat is not enought for all customers. Only 24 seats per shuttle bus per round if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, staffs are friendly and provide good service.

Fantastic Hotel with private beach”

We arrive Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok on 31st May 2014 @ 7:45 PM. We already booked a Taxi online which was waiting outside. Thereafter we proceed to Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, Pattaya. After 45 mintues of drive from Airport towards Pattaya. You will find many restaurants (KFC, Burger King, Mc Donald etc). Then we reached Royal Cliff Beach Hotel @ 9:30 PM. Check-in was fast and paid Security Deposit of 400 USD for 2 Rooms (Mini Suite Sea View Room). There were 3-4 swimming pools in the BEACH Hotel only and also has Private Beach which was awesome....

Simply the best hotel I have been to.”

Staying at the royal cliff beach hotel was simply fantastic. Everything was taken care of from the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly checked out. Our party included adults older children, young adults and seniors, one of whom is disabled. The staff were excellent. They set up an area in the breakfast room each morning and fetched anything we could have asked for. There was an area set up by the pool each morning for us which included a higher sun lounger and a chair for our disabled member. Staff even rush to move the sun parasol when the sun moves position. Fresh towels 3 times a day, complimmentary fruit baskets, fresh flowers on your freshly turned down beds, every need was seen to before we even knew we needed it!! The hotel is a short Baht bus ride to the main centre, and a 5 min stroll to the little but nice shop area that serves the 5 or 6 hotels in this part. The pool area is beautiful. The infinity pool is also great. To put it midly, the Royal cliff hotels are just simply the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in, we were treated like VIP guests, in fact I am already looking to return as soon as possible.

Spectacular hotel, lived up to it's reputation”

The Royal Cliff was everything we expected and it lived up to it's reputation. It is the perfect hotel for those visitors to Pattaya/Jomtien that like a hotel that has all the amenities and the perfect place to just relax and unwind. The only issue with the Royal Cliff is that it's a little bit out of the action and to get into Pattaya requires a baht bus or taxi which can often be a challenge trying to get when there is a lot of guests staying at the hotel. There is a free shuttle bus service that stops at different shopping malls along Beach Rd.these minor points we would most definitely recommend the Royal Cliff to those that want a luxurious and relaxing stay in Pattaya/Jomtien.

Great room, great ambience and outlook”

even though i had previously visited the hotel i had never stayed there. i am glad i did stay on this occasion. the check in was efficient and seemless. i was more than happy also when advised i would be upgraded to a "beach terrace room. this wing location was in a relatively private and quiet position close to and having an outlook to the sea. i have to admit the room was so comfortable and pleasant that the only reason to leave it was to go to the restaurant or to use the many pools available or other facilites. the room was most spacious with a very large external balcony with sun lounges. it also featured a grand bathroom and oversize lcd tv. the hotel provides many restaurant options (11 in fact), but i found the main panorama restaurant was more than adequate, although it did suffer from overcrowding and noise at times. the restaurant staff from manager keree down were always most obliging and attentive. the rooms are maintained in a high standard, but the only minor comment i would make is that room servicing is only done late in the afternoon. this means if one wants to utilise the room during the day, then personal tidying up is necessary. i shall certainly be making royal cliff another visit when next returning to pattaya.

Relaxing and Great Fun”

Good hotel to stay for any kind of traveller. It is a luxury + beach resort with top end facilities. Room: The room was big comfortable and clean. They have options of both mountain and sea view which are equally good. The room is well equipped and very fast internet. Room Service: The in room dining menu is quite good and relatively fast as well. The housekeeping does a good job and tops up the mini bar and water very efficiently. Beach: This is the best feature of the hotel. They have a private beach with good facilities - relaxing chairs, Breezio Restaurant (For drinks on the beach) and safety limits marked for swimming into the sea and helpful lifeguars Watersports: This is operated by a external operator. The servies at the Cliff beach is limited but they take you to Pattaya main beach or other nearby islands for extended activities. Nightlife: Very close to the famous walking street. After a relaxing day at the beach you can be prepped up for the pattaya nighlife.

Real value for money”

We visited pattaya in the month of decemeber and stayed in mini suite sea view room, royal cliff hotel for 4 nights. My 6 y old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hotel facilities. The infinity pool is awesome, but we didn't use the beach much. The room was huge. We didn't enjoy pattaya much except for this hotel.. We dined at the indian restaurant in the hotel and the food was amazing. Totally worth the money. The other restaurants in pattaya is costly and didn't taste good. I totally recommend this hotel to all travellers visiting pattaya.

Nice 3 night stay”

stayed for 3 nights at the royal cliffs grand hotel in pattaya and could have coped with another couple if we had had the time, it was a very pleasant stay. hotel is a little older but well maintained. room had great view, roomy balcony with sun beds and was all we needed. breakfast was a very large and varied affair with something for everybody. could use business centres internet for 30 minutes at a time for free but had to pay for wi fi. internet to the room by cable only and that was free too. about 20 to 30 mins walk to walking st downhill. you would probably want to get a taxi back as it is a fair climb back up the hill in the heat. taxi's available at the main gate and cost from 100 to 250 baht one way dependant on your bargaining skills and where you want to go in town. infinity pool great could sit there all day with the view. dined at breezeo. food was good and the breeze off the ocean lovely and about $aud55 for two 3 courses including drinks

Relaxing at the Royal Clff”

We had been staying in central pattaya, however due to this hotel being fully booked on the extra days we wanted to stay, found the Royal Cliff. We were a bit apprehensive seeing where the taxi was taking us far from the center of town. On entering the hotel resort, we were greeted warmly by differnet memebers of the staff. The buffet breakfast at the Panoramic restuarant is something - caters to anyone's desire, amazing selection of food with friendly and smiling staff. The beach per say is ok - a nominal sand beach however lot of area to sit down. The swimming pool by the hotel was great, however nothing compared to the swimming pool by the fitness center. Is just like being close to paradise. We satyed in this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed ourselves.

Outstanding Royal Cliff Beach Resort”

Royal Cliff Beach Resort was one of the most beautiful resorts I have stayed in during my 30+ years of traveling. It's located atop a cliff and peninsula that gives most places on the 64 acre compound amazing ocean views. The rooms are 5-star quality, as are the facilities and staff. You should definitely take advantage of the inclusive breakfast buffet. The cuisine choices were offered from several different continents. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for an amazing and relaxing getaway that's just far enough away from the hustle-bustle of Pattaya City itself.

Relaxing, Enjoyable and Classy”

The stay was very relaxing. This hotel is nestled on the cliff in Pattaya and the area is very Quiet and comfortable. Infini Pool and sea view rooms have wonderful views. Although atop a hill, in south Pattaya, withen minutes we can reach out to local markets and restaurants. I have stayed at this hotel now 2 times already and feel if I go back to Pattaya , this will be my obvious choice because of clean Private beach,5 star Indian Restaurant Maharani,Lovely Breakfast buffet, the Modernity, Grandiose views and the classy feel that u get here. only 1 thing that was a little problem in my second visit was that the bathroom tub dint had water stopper, I had requested for King size bed but they just Joint 2 single beds together and I requested for High floor room but they gave room on 2nd floor which werent exactly giving Ocean view rather they had swimming pool view on 1 side and walls blocking views of ocean on the other side.

A great place to stay with an incredible ocean view”

The resort is located on a cliff (Phra Tamnuk hill) where you can escape from the bustlingly busy Pattaya city. The hotel premises were built in the 70s yet they were well maintained. We were staying in a mini suit plus sea-view room where we could chillax in a spacious, newly refurbished room while enjoy the vista from the large balcony. We had dinner at the Breezeo and it was a great experience. The food was good and affordable, the view from the resto is amazing and the staff were great. The infinity pool is amazing and highly recommended. This is not a budget hotel, of course. But it's worth every penny!

Best hotel for families in Pattaya”

In choosing a hotel for my family of young children, I look at the following criteria 1.Right on by the beach 2. Excellent swimming pools 3. Spacious, clean, and luxurious room 4. Excellent buffet breakfast 5. Bath tub with really hot water 6. Free wifi 7 Really good view from room In all these aspects the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is the best for the price in my opinion, and thats why I keep returning.

Brilliant hotel everything you could ask for .”

The Royal Cliff is great value for money. The most important thing I would like to say is that the gym is about ten minutes walk from the hotel because the hotel is so large but a shuttle bus is always there to take you whether you are coming or going. The pools at the gym are fantastic we preferred the pools there better than the ones at the hotel but in saying this the ones at the Hotel are fabulous the infinity pool is out of this world. Had a private Thai boxing lesson free at the gym awsum. Breakfast brilliant and service fanbleedingtastic. I suppose it's a bit far out to walk to main area so catch a baht bus out on the main road not taxi from the Hotel cause they charge 300Baht. Besides that Hotel is highly recommended but not if your really loud and a Aussie Yobbo as the Royal Cliff is quieter than the ones on the main street

The best place in Pattaya”

Celebrated a loved one's birthday at Royal Cliff. Guest relations, Jan, not only responded to emails swiftly but also arranged for tours, massage and reservation to celebrate the birthday at their top notch royal grill restaurant. Staff at Royal grill made special birthday arrangements as well! The only annoying trait of Pattaya is the locals are trying to take your every penny. Even to hitch a ride to a place 2 mins away, rides are over priced . Floating market was a waste of time. Koh Larn island was overcrowded and the boat rides were so bumpy and harsh on the backs. Also be prepared for long waiting time for activities and snorkeling wasn't that fantastic.

The Royal Cliff has been my second home since my childhood. Even if until now it can still maintain and improve its quality standard. Even if we stayed for only one night, we had the best time. We eat in while sitting on the balcony watching the ocean, people swimming and doing fun activities. If we get bored we can go to the Cliff spa for a relaxation at a friendly price. If we want to get some plashes, there are new infinity edge pool and new cafeteria by the beach. Staying at the Royal Cliff, is a one stop resort. No need to go out and fish out some outlets that would disappoint you later. We are also happy being their guests.

A beautiful three days at the beach”

From the moment of our arrival at the Royal Cliff Hotels, we were very impressed. The lobbies are magnificently beautiful and gracious. The grounds are beautiful with benches and lounges scattered throughout for enjoying every moment. We initially checked into a honeymoon suite in the terraces. The room was gorgeous with a very nice reflection of Thai culture, but we found it to be too inwardly focused without a view. The staff graciously accommodated our request for a higher room so we moved to the Grand Hotel for a wonderful view of the Gulf and sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our side trips to the sites around Pattaya. This will be our first choice hotel for a return trip.

Best hotel for relaxation”

This hotel is located a bit away from the main area of Pattaya, and there are 3-4 Royal Cliff hotels on the property. Best thing is that hotel has everything in it from doctor's clinic to child care facility, private beaches, great restaurants with reasonable prices. This is probably the best hotel option for a couple who is looking to relax and being away from city's crowded areas.

This Hotel we use to love”

our staying at Royal Cliff beach hotel( once we were staying at Grand hotel-bathroom was great, at least we had shower room)was not as good as use to be: there are no more free shuttle to the city, 100 bat per person one way! 5 stars hotel! For goodness sake! How come?Why? there are use to be a free boat to the nearest island- not any more! Sea was so dirty!!!!! Nobody cleaned it- plastic bottles, all rubbish from passing boats,we did find dead rat on the sand!last year we swam, we enjoyed it, not this time...Hotel is not cheap,looking great, just a pleasure to watch, and no proper service as for shuttle, boats, and for most important thing- sea water! Very disappointing!
