Our three families with teen children stayed for two nights recently. We had best experience despite Covid restrictions. Food is as delicious and live band during dinners in garden was great. The Allalasandra lake is very close and we had a good morning walk while watching many swans and migratory birds. Staff very courteous and helpful. Overall we had good time.

A great Staycation in a Luxury Cottage!”
In this pandemic with the second wave still tapering down, it has become difficult to travel, hence we booked a Staycation at the Royal Orchid Resort and Convention Centre, Yelahanka, Bengaluru for the long Ganesh Chaturthi weekend. We found a fantastic deal on Agoda which was too good to pass and we opted for a 2 day "Luxury Cottage" package with breakfast, lunch and dinner included at this resort. A pretty large property right near Jakkur flying club, Yelahanka, where we were able to check-in, filled a quick form and were promptly escorted to lunch at noon since our cottage was not yet ready, as check-in time was 2pm. As part of our plan, we were covered for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which were served at the Verve restaurant with a buffet menu for all three meals. The buffet was decent for all meals and had limited variety, however, was perfect. Considering the pricing and ordering off the menu for drinks, cocktails or even evening tea & snacks was definitely worth it. There is a need for a small improvement in replenishing some of the buffet items quickly, rather than waiting for quite a while at times. The Pool was not functional yet as per the restrictions but we could enjoy the large property, green lawns, outdoor games etc. The 9th Mile Dhaba with a Paan counter was another outdoor restaurant to have meals in. As for the rooms; the luxury cottage (only 4 in the property) was a steal with decent size, very spacious, with an almost full kitchen, huge refrigerator, microwave, induction stove, chimney, 2 ACs, 2 TVs and with an outdoor private garden area with a table, chairs, relaxing beach bed. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, however without a bath-tub (which was the only downside), toiletries stocked up and we could call them whenever we needed any replenishment/housekeeping which was extremely quick as soon as we called. Bad part first, the facility is showing its age and needs a make over. Good part: great staff, neat and clean rooms. Big campus, lot of fun activities, awesome food. My recommendation: add breakfast and dinner in your package if you get the option. You will never regret it.

Nice Resort with Large gardens. It has a garden restaurant which is nice. They have live ghazal nights on Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings in the dhabha restaurant. Cottage rooms are are in secluded area on other side. Ideal to make booking with Breakfast included , and Dinner included as A la carte orders can be expensive. Breakfast buffet with tax can total up to Rs620 per day. Dinner buffet is Rs1000 plus taxes. Bar is stocked well and has Budweiser on the tap. Indian food is well made and quantity is enough to feed 2 people and a child for each dish. So, for a solo traveller this can be a waste of food. Ordering a simple french fried to your room can cost up to Rs 275 Ideal to book a table at Garden restaurant on weekends during ghazal nights. ideal time is 8pm to 9pm. Ghazals end at 10pm. Very enjoyable experience to wine and dine with Ghazals
