Ryōgoku hotels & places to stay

We booked 3 double bed rooms and stayed for 13 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much. Yes, the room is small and there were only 2 knobs with hangers to hang our clothes - rather insufficient especially for the winter clothes. The bathroom is ok except a bit too high to climb up for the elderly. Even though the room is small, everything seemed compact and space is well utilised. The location is good. Exit from south of Kinshicho Station and walk to the left and you will get to the hotel. Located near convenience stores and restaurants. Won't go hungry even in the night. However, the only problem we faced are the dryers. It took too long to dry the clothes - almost 3 hours to dry our laundry. The staff are very helpful. Did their best to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. Once again, thank you and team for everything. Have a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!

View was great but unless you open your curtain every time the same value could be used to book a bigger room. The bath room had a weird smell when we entered. Not sure what was it but you need to air the bath room. Staff is able to understand basic english but if you need further help, you will need google translate. Hotel managed to make and arranged for a cake to be delivered to my sis room for her birthday surprise. 5 stars for service. Free shuttle bus service from hotel lobby to both disneyland and disneysea. You will need to book them at the hotel website. So tired after a long day at disney so great that they provided shuttle service. There's 7-11 opposite the hotel. Yoshinoya and burger king opposite for a late night supper. Do drop by 0101 department store, level 4 for seria (100 yen store). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Our room is right above the train tracks so we can hear the noise from last scheduled train and first train in the morning. We are ok with the noise but if you are a light sleeper, then it's better you ask for the other side facing the streets because the train can be quite loud. The location is good if you mostly take the train because it's right beside the hotel, but if you travel by subway, it's around 10-15 mins walk to the other entrance (they are not joint) - it's not that ok for that extra bit of walk if you have shopping loads with you and after a super loooong day of walking. The room is definitely smaller than we thought and expected from the photos. Staffs are polite but their English is very basic and short sentences only. So learn a few sentences of commonly used Japanese before going like how to get to coin laundry etc. pros: good variety of breakfast and fresh sweet fruits, clean room, decent size bathroom that you don't struggle to turn as originally expected for Japanese bathroom, offered to give you a mobile phone with 4G speed (not for tethering) so save you some money for wifi internet if you don't need it for hot spot for your own phone. The hotel is surrounded by good restaurant options especially an Italian restaurant across from the train station (SUPER cheap and with good quality, opens until midnight)! cons: there's no laundry room/floor within the building, you'll have to walk extra far for a coin laundry or order laundry service if you got extra $$. No ventilation fan in the bathroom so if you are going as a group, it's going to be a sauna there unless you don't mind shower with the door open. The AC vent is quite dusty and humid so I recommend to turn on the air purifier they have in the room to help if you are sensitive to air like sinuses. We were not used to the humidity so we had that on throughout. Overall experience, I would come back and depending on # of people in the group, we will have to do separate rooms paying a b

we booked premium double room with skytree view. room size is sufficient in terms of japan hotel size. the hotel room provides 1 unit of smartphone for us to use (complimentary). it comes with free idd call (local & intl) and data. we can view tokyo skytree from our room and its beautiful during the night. hotel room is clean and amenities are good. we have our room cleaned everyday. staff are friendly and helpful. the staff even helped us arrange for our luggage transfer to Narita. free shuttle bus to disneyland helps us save lots of time and money since we travel in big group. just book the slot in advance. convenience store and bakery is located at the ground floor of the hotel. there is another store just the opposite the hotel. the hotel near to Ryogoku subway, and walking distance to Ryogoku JR station. however, there is no coin laundry service at the hotel. we didnt incl breakfast in our booking so cant comment about that. i notice that twin room size is bigger than double room, so if you dont mind the bed type, go for twin room. only one thing that i didnt like was the cigarette smell at the lobby which i spot one time. the lobby is an enclosed area and the smell quite strong. it's not convenient as i have small children with me while waiting in the looby. other than that, i have no complaints. its been a pleasant stay.

The price and location is the best among the whole journey, recommend by a Japanese friend, so we booked it with 3 nights very early in a very cheap price, everything is just prefect, bathroom and living room have enough space, view from the room is Fantastic, the hotel is connect to a subway line, Disney land bus station only 2mins walking distance, will stay again next time.

I stayed in Economy Single Room for 1 night on 17th, Jan 2018. I'm a Japanese national living in abroad. I've stayed in many hotels in Tokyo and Narita area in a range of room charge from ￥3,000−￥7,000 /person/night. If you prefer to secure your privacy and wish to stay in a single room in Tokyo, with very limited budget, Oak Sakura has the perfect rooms for you. They have 2 types single rooms. Economy Single which is 7 square meeters only, and Standard Single with 10 Sqr Mtrs. I stayed in Economy Single and still found it a lot better option than staying in a Dorm with bunk beds with other girls. Though, their Single Rooms don't come with shower room or the toilet, you need to go outside the room to use their shared facility. Believe me, their Facility is SUPER CLEAN and looks even fancy. A/C, mini fridge, mini desk & chair, hair dryer are provided in private rooms. The staff are very helpful and you can request the priting & copying services to the Reception. Best Budget Room!

It has a stylish and young vibe here. Super clean and everything you need is here in the hotel. There’s convenient store and food places near by which opens 24 hours. The only con is a little far from shopping areas, about 40 mins away by train to shopping places. Near to night clubs but not a problem to us, could be noisy for light sleepers as we can hear the club people chatting on street all night as our room is facing the main streets. The beds - super comfy ! No complains!

Very nice hostel indeed. I book a 6 mix bedroom. I arrive around 11am and I straight away get to check in. Staffs are very helpful. Room and toilets are very clean with hair and body shampoo but only 3rd floor allowed for male shower. Location is very nice to Ryogoku JR which is like 3 mins walk. There got a huge lounge, u can have a PS3 for entertainment and 3 laptops for free usage. They also have a large kitchen where u can cook and free drinks like green tea and coffee. You only can dine there (not room or lounge). Bed is super comfy for me and its not really like too cramp for 6 people. So overall experience is good. Defenitely will stay there again if I visit Tokyo next time.

This hostel is just the best you can find in Tokyo if you are looking for a real japanese experience and meeting japanese people. The staff members are all amazing people and they make you feel at home with a new family. They organize events every night so it is so easy to meet other travellers ! I like this place so much i came back to Tokyo for three De at the end of my trip so i can enjoy this place and the staff again !! The location is in a quiet neighborhood, so good after visiting Shinjuku ! The Subway is just 3-4 minutes walk. You need to go there !!!!

This capsule experience didn't disappoint. Though capsules are generally the best option when you CAN'T go anywhere else, we have found more and more that they are the best option period. This location had friendly and helpful staff who did their best to explain the premises. And the conditions of the capsule room, the bath, and services (beer vending machine, bathrooms, games) were above par. I would highly recommend this hotel over one of the bigger and more hard to maintain options in Shinjuku or Ikebukuro.

This was a wonderful little hotel convieniently located near a local tokyo line and a JR line. Very easy to get around everywhere including touristy areas of Shibuya and Shinjuku. But also more laid back to come home to. There is a Daiso located nearby which is great for cheap souvenoirs. The place is very clean and tidy. The staff is amazing! So friendly and very nice. They serve coffee in the morning and even gave us some cakes during the New Year celebration. Would highly recommend. Great bang for your buck.

A clean, affordable and comfortable 2-star hotel (albeit room is abit small but really cozy and clean) within a peaceful neighbourhood, close to subway, right opposite Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Solamachi shopping mall. Plus, it's just a close walking distance to famous restaurant outlets like Sukiya, tomato ramen shop, Aeon Kitchen, along with various convenience stores nearby. First trip to Japan, with a first great impression of accommodation here. Highly recommended!

Nice Apartment with tokyo skytree view. We got very lucky with the room and managed to get a room with a view of Tokyo sky tree which looked amazing plus the beautiful Tokyo city view. Staffs were really helpful and great nice service. Very pleased that we chose this apartment. The rooms were very fancy and felt comfortable staying in them. Clean and had all the amenities we needed. you can easy take subway to anywhere you want as the station entrance is right beside the apartment. walking distance to restaurant and Super market other attraction. From Narita Intl Airport, we took skyliner to Ueno station and change to Toei Oedo line at Ueno Okachimachi station and drop off at Morishita station. Morishita station is a short walking distance away 1min. The room is on the 7th floor and can go directly to the rooftop. Pocket Wi-Fi (portable Wi-Fi receiver) is equipped, other In the room High speed internet. 2 bedrooms and living room is 90 m² wide. Air-con is good power. In the room provide security lock box. Staff is very kind polite. Would definitely recommend.

This was a very nice love hotel. Was concerned because a lot of love hotels just seem questionable to me but this one was very nice. We got the deluxe room I think, the one with the outdoor tub, which was awesome. The lobby had free wine and lounge chairs to wait in while waiting for your room. We unfortunately couldn't check in until 6 or 8 so we had to take the train somewhere as there is nothing really around that you can walk to. The room itself was very clean and huge, definitely worth the money!

Pros: Thoughtful owner. Near JR station, about 10 mins. Easy to find. Near to restaurants and convenience stores. Easy check in and check out process. Complete facilities. I love how the owner give concrete instructions on how to get to the apartment up to the english translation of the unit’s facilities. Will definitely stay here again when i’m in tokyo! Cons: The key is malfunctioning a bit especially on the main entrance gate, But manageable.
