I have experienced with many ryokan and onsen in Japan, this place is one of the best. Super value for money in everything. Shuttle bus is on-time and convenience enough. Hotel is new, look great with style and decoration, large room, clean and private. Location is nice, close to natural river, you can hear the stream from your room and onsen. Hotel is new, look great with style and decoration, large room, clean and private. Location is nice, close to natural river, you can hear the stream from your room and onsen. Onsen is superb, new, clean, large for both of internal and outdoor. Great view from outdoor onsen. Dinner and breakfast are recommended, full with unexpected serve more dishes, nice cook, yummy. Although charge for young children but just little with serve for kids well. Staffs are very well service mind, willing to serve and support. Their English are not good, but it's not problem when they are nice to understand and communicate with.

this hotel were one of the best place i've ever had. me & my friends were came early to put our luggages, and take a walk around geibikei. the staff were very helpfull and has so many infos about tourism place around there. we talk much about Indonesia and Japan, such a great memory. we also had koucha (welcome drink) which is so tasty ! the staff were very kind, hel...this hotel were one of the best place i've ever had. me & my friends were came early to put our luggages, and take a walk around geibikei. the staff were very helpfull and has so many infos about tourism place around there. we talk much about Indonesia and Japan, such a great memory. we also had koucha (welcome drink) which is so tasty ! the staff were very kind, helped us to use microwave. the hotel was very clean and i love the japanese ambience! the slippers, yukata, futton, the room, etc. we really had a good stay ! location were nice, there was a river and a hill behind the hotel. and also a playground park! we tought there is no konbini around geibikei, because it didnt showed on google map. but, it was wrong, there were family mart and many shops. we were sorry, we didnt had opportunity to say good bye while check out, because it was 5.30 am and we had to catch our train at 6 am. hope will meet again! thank you kaziya bekkan ramatkor yado! really really a good place for stay!

From even before the moment we arrived, the staff was carefully preparing for our visit and met us at our transportation. Our rooms were gorgeous, as were the surroundings. The staff was incredibly generous in their hospitality, anticipating our wishes and immediately responding to any request. We feel extremely fortunate to be able to spend some time here, would do so again (in heartbeat!), and can recommend Ryokan Shikitei without hesitation.

The experience of having your own Onsen while the snow falls against your face was simply magical. Yamado made all that a reality. I would definitely return. Cons: Yamado is a bit remote and it takes careful planning to reach, but it’s a trek I would take again and again.
