Bit worn out sleazy place. But good enough. Clean room. Bed is ok for what it’s made for and sleeping in op. Popular with temporary couples I guess
Stayed in Room 405 from 18/12/23 to 21/12/23. Few times stayed in this hotel. Clean bedsheets, pillows and location within walking distance to Lee Garden, Kim Yong and other popular eateries. But the main pro that made me to stay in this hotel whenever I visit Hatyai is the ever very cheerful, helpful, ever smiling and pretty receptionists, Ms. Sun and Ms.Nii, they made u feel welcome not like other hotel receptionists, never smile....Keep up the good work, Ms.Sun and Ms. Nii...👍🙏👏🇹🇭🇲🇾
-There's some reviews saying that rooms are not clean. But I got a clean room. Maybe hotel should make sure all rooms cleanliness are same for all rooms. -Lift got a bit problem. Should do some maintenance for the lift maybe? But overall everything is good for me and my mom. =)
I booked a room at Sakura Hotel in Hat Yai, Thailand, through Agoda, and this turned out to be my worst hotel experience ever. The hotel is dirty, old, and smelly. The room had an overpowering stench of mold and sewage, and we couldn’t even stay for 30 minutes. The walls, floor, and ceiling were stained, and the bathtub was so old and discolored that we didn’t even dare to use the bathroom—even after traveling for 9 hours. On top of the poor room condition, I noticed that the hotel seemed like a money-hack establishment with its random fines. There are signs everywhere: - A 300-baht unnecessary keycard deposit, despite the room being unworthy of any deposit. - A 1,000-baht fine for “unregistered guests.” - A 200-baht fine per hour for check-outs past 12:00 PM—even if it’s just 12:01 PM! The whole experience felt unwelcoming and stressful, with these policies clearly designed to squeeze as much money as possible from guests. The photos on Agoda are completely misleading, which is incredibly frustrating. I understand it’s a 3-star budget hotel, and I would’ve been fine with an old building if it was at least clean. But this place is a disaster. Adding insult to injury, I booked this hotel by mistake, thinking it was the pickup point for our van to Penang, Malaysia. It turns out the actual pickup was at “Sakura Budget Hotel,” which is far from this dump. After traveling all day from Krabi, arriving in Hat Yai at 9 PM, I was exhausted and heartbroken to deal with this situation. The photos of the room speak for themselves. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

“Value for money ”
As posted in the hotel, I arranged to clean my room at 11:30am but the cleaner was knocking down my room door at around 9am. Once I opened the door, she rushed into my room with 2 fresh towers and signal to me if I need to make up bed. I was totally caught off guard, this is totally outrageous. In the end I just asked her to leave and I forgot to asked her to clear the rubbish bin in the room.
