Hidden gem”
A lovely little resort. Staff are friendly and helpful. They were also brilliant with our 2 children (5yrs and 7yrs). Rooms were clean and huge. Breakfast was delicious, especially the doughnuts and pancakes. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, next to the beach, out of the hustle and a short taxi to town. A perfect place for families with children. We will be returning without fail.

Comfortable and peaceful stay in a convenient location”
Samui Island Resort is quaint and friendly, like the old-style resorts on Samui, but with decent facilities. It has a nice mix of bungalows and rooms. The location is very convenient to Chaweng but not too close to the noisy commercial area. I liked their small beach, pool and service. However, the air conditioning needs improvement as it does not always work well (important on warm nights for sleeping well). The breakfast (often included in the rate) should really be available until 11:30 a.m. , not only until 10:30 a.m. Sometimes, you want to sleep later while on holiday. Overall, a very pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Great view for a great price!”
We booked a seaside bungalow with breakfast included. There weren’t many guests, so they let us view all the bungalows and pick the one we wanted to stay in! We thought that was nice of the staff to do for us, especially because the bungalows are all a bit different. The one we chose had an awesome coverd veranda with a custom concrete seating area outside looking directly at the ocean. the bathroom was really cool and made from natural materials with an opaque roof that let the sunlight filter in. The staff served our breakfast at our room; setting a table with white cloth and plate ware on our veranda before we woke up. When we came out, the staff noticed and began cooking breakfast to our order! They also offered us free use of their 2-person kayak at anytime during our stay! Some of the drawbacks were that the WiFi was temporarily shut off during our stay.. not sure why. Also, I’m not sure if the staff even had WiFi access either, as they didn’t know about our Agoda booking until we arrived. The TV was quite old (box TV) and the picture was not very clear, but we only watched a bit at night because the ocean view was so amazing during the day. Overall good stay. We would totally stay again!

Relaxing place to stay by the sea on Samui”
Great service, staff and location. The breakfast needs much improvement---the food is not always very fresh and sometimes there is no fresh fruit left even an hour before the end of the breakfast period. Good massages available on site by the beach at reasonable prices.

A bit far from chaweng beach, but under 5min on a scooter to chaweng beach. The hotel rents out scooters for 250 bath, but on The main road its only 100bath The hotel is a bit outdated, but still charming and The sea view is lovely! The rooms and The balconey Are quite big. The wifi is ok....not great! The staff Are really Nice and helpfull.

Looking nice for a short stay”
My 3 nights there was ok basically. But the room at the pics was very different from what I got. There is no sea view like the pic at all. They told me that the sea view rooms are busy and under renovation so I got a room at the old building side very disappointed. Staff was ok. Swimming pool nice too. There is no beach that u can swim so have to go another beach for that. Location should be a little problem because the road to reach there is so uncomfortable and walking hard, much easier by scooter. I dont see myself come again here.

Comfortable stay at this attractive resort”
I've stayed at this resort several times over the past few years. It is peaceful, conveniently located at only about 20-25 min.' walk from Chaweng, the main town, yet not too close to hear the noise. Not much traffic noise either as it's a short walk down from the main road, right next to the beach. The beach area is very small but the swimming pool is lovely and a good size for a swim or just for a dip. The staff are always friendly and helpful! The food in the restaurant could be improved although the breakfast has improved this year. Overall good value for Koh Samui.

Clean room (bunglow) with everything working well. Nice and big pool. Quiet environment. Shortfall is a distance away from Chaweng, need transport to move around. Will stay here again.

Nice pool ”
We really enjoyed staying here, large room, pool is so nice and right on the sea. Staff is really friendly, breakfast is good enough even though not many choices but that all what we needed. Location is a bit far from town , 30 minutes walk to central world, if you have a bike would be great. The front beach can not swim. But we were happy staying here

The bungalow was great. I didn’t stay in the main block as it only had a large bath with a shower hose so impossible to take a shower! Big let down!!

Room double booked”
So our stay here started with the hotel double booking the room we had booked, so instead of being in a ground floor room directly next door to the pool / beach / massage hut we were instead in a 2nd floor room having to drag a pram and 2 kids up 2 flights of stairs . The room we were put in was supposedly an upgrade. Hotels double booking really frustrates me, as it shows they do not value their customers and the commitments they make to have available the room that the customers booked. These are not done by mistake they are a calculated decision by hotels to book in and fill as many rooms as possible knowing that their guests will have little choice once they have arrived. On to the hotel, it is perched alongside the waters edge with little to no beach line for most of the day but nice views, the food at the restaurant was the worst we had anywhere in Thailand but the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall an average experience, not horrible but wont be back.

Beach bungalow was booked however wasn't available when we arrived. Tried to "upgrade" us to a hotel style room (which was the opposite of what we wanted). In the end the staff got us a junior suite which was great.

Located at one of the ends of Chaweng, this place was ideal for a quiet stay away from the main busy areas of Chaweng. It's not the best part of the beach as its rocky in places and the tide goes out quite far in some places. Nice to be able to sunbathe next to the pool over looking the beach. Our room was a good size and had a big tub in the bathroom. The breakfast for average but the other food ordered from the menu was alright. The staff seemed friendly and polite, always greeting with a smile.
