San Vicente hotels & places to stay

The family room we got was air-conditioned and that's a plus for people who had long travels from Manila to San Vicente Airport. Though, it's too far, the best way to get there was to ride a boat. It would just take you 45 mins to an hour and voila, you'd arrive in your accommodation. The meal prices are a bit pricey, but we appreciate having the free breakfast. I only ate two times a day, so there's plenty of restaurants when you roam around Port Barton.

We stayed in a waterfront cottage with a double bed and own bathroom. It was 15m from the beach which was beautiful. We were there in the low season so the price was very cheap and we had the place almost to ourselves. The best part of the resort was the staff. The receptionist was amazing and attentive. The girls working in the restaurant was also really sweet and helpful. All over it was a fantastic stay! If I have to find one bad thing, it would be that you can hear everything from the cottages. But hey, they're right at the beach and have everything you need (except hot showers)

We stayed here July 2019. Roberto and Thelma are well accommodating, Roberto immediately gave us introductions which we like and the fact that they arestrict with their rules is also good (too many pasaway tourist nowadays haha). They only have 5 rooms so the place is not crowded which is good. The resort is also close to san Vicente airport is which a plus! Their food price are a bit high but gooood quality! They have a pool, the beach is way low but no issue about it, good place to see the sunset. Wifi is not cooperating at times meaning this place is really good for relaxation and away from toxic social medias hehe. We'll definitely come back!

Amazing stay! Mr. Socrates or Sir Soc and his family who manage the resort was very helpful and provided everything we needed. As soon as we arrived they gave us friendly welcome and gave us a pitcher of water. Perfect from our long journey from Puerto Princesa to San Vicente. Also Sir Soc arranged for us private island hopping tour for me and my fiancé at a good price with tricycle ride to the port. They also have laundry service and also arranged for us van from the resort to El Nido. The grilled pork chop and sweet and sour fish we ordered were also delicious! We couldn't ask for more. More than happy and would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

This is a small resort. When we were here, there was only one other group staying at the time. We had the AWESOME pool to ourselves. It is on a beautiful, quiet beach. We only saw a few locals, no one else. Breakfast was simple, but very good. The dinner food we tried was just okay. However, if you stay here, go to Marina Terrace in San Vicente... the gnocchi and bruschetta will knock your socks off. The service is wonderful, and the laundry services are very good and very affordable. We booked two nights and ended up staying 5 nights. The internet is in and out, but it is good when it is working.

It was even beyond our expectations. This is a really true gem. So beautiful, calm and relaxing place with great service and nice, clean accommodation. It is like a small private paradise. There are just few guests on the island so it really gives you the space for privacy, relaxation and contact with nature as well. The food was great, the chief and stuff are great, everything was fresh and tasteful. Oh and those sunsets and watching the stars during the night and the noise of the sea gives you good night when you are falling to sleep. We are so grateful that we could be there, thank you Sebestian and whole stuff and wish you all the best!

Everything was just great; Port Barton itself, the view from the Bayview, Walter ( he helped us with everything; took us to the Bayview and booked us the van tickets to our next destination etc. he was great 😊) The cabin was roomy enought for the two of us as was the fan too, the room didnt get too Hot. Bathroom was outside and no hot water but it didnt bother us. Highly recommended, worth of your money.

If you're looking to explore San Vicente on a budget, Picardal is a great place to stay. It's near the terminals and the staff are helpful in giving you directions to places you want to go. It's about 15 minutes away from San Vicente's main attraction -- the 14 km stretch of undeveloped sand bar called Long Beach. It's also right across the shuttle and bus terminals, the passenger boats, and the main market, where you can buy fresh fish and have it cooked there.The room is spacious and mostly clean, with a big bed. A nice breeze also blows through the room.Screens are also in place to protect you from Palawan's notorious mosquitoes. Since it's a budget hotel, there are not many frivolous amenities. There is wi-fi available, but it's only available at the lobby of the hotel. The stairs are a bit steep, especially if taken in the middle of the night. The hotel doesn't serve any meals, but it has an adjacent convenience store that sells some snacks and bottles of water. San Vicente itself cuts the power at midnight, and Picardal has no generator of its own. Over-all, it's a no frills budget hotel with a good location.

This is a great location for people who love quite and tranquility..... We arrive in San Vicente Airport never realize that this place is a boat ride away... if you call the Blue Cove staff.. (you can ask around and have them call them)… people on this little town are very kind and friendly … they pick us up for P1200 each way... so if you are budget conscious... try to stay in the San Vicente proper... boat ride get pricey because this place is new... but if you go to Port Barton... is more a happening place and more hotel to go beach to swim and restaurants.... but be cautious.... there are people out there money hungry... so ask around and try to do your research before you come to this place.... But there are honest people too... if you leave from San Vicente to El Nido..... from the airport.. is only P400.00 but if you leave from Port Barton which is farther from El Nido is P600.00 (which we were told its only P400 before we took the boat ride for another P1000 … it adds up

Elsa's Cottage and Restaurant is a great place to stay in Port Barton - perhaps the best. I have visited Port Barton for about a week every year for the last three years, and this year I stayed at Elsa's for the first time. The location is in one of the best on the (lovely) beach with easy access to the water. Jelly fish can be a big problem at Port Barton but this year I visited during the "safe season" so we were able to swim off the beach. Elsa's is definately my favourate place to stay here and it is the staff in particular who make this place so incredibly special. Elsa herself is no spring chicken (bless her!)but she made several appearances to make sure we were happy - but it is Beverly, the Manageress who really makes this place so wonderful. She is always cheerful and friendly and helpful and she personally came to our rescue after our car broke down having already checked out and continued on our travels around Palawan. Like most places in Port Barton, this place is fairly rustic, with electricity usually only available from about 6pm until midnight. Although I'm a huge fan of "Asian" food in general, I don't think that the food in the Philippines is very good and so it is for that reason alone that I do not rate the food highly here. This is a lovely, peaceful, beautiful place to stay run by lovely, lovely people. I will be back again next year again I hope to stay at Elsa's lovely cottages.

I wanted to write a detailed review for this place because it's not like anywhere I've stayed before and if I hadn't read reviews in advance I wouldn't have known what to expect. So I hope this is helpful for both prospective visitors and the resort owners. This little resort is very pretty and the staff are lovely and very helpful. It's a cheap place to stay so not much is included; it's nice and simple and a bit of an adventure so if you know what to expect you'll have a great time. We stayed in one of the rooms on the second level, I think it was the cheapest option so you get what you pay for. Our friends were in one of the bungalows and it was really nice inside and had a much better bathroom if you can afford a little more, if not then the cheaper rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. A few things you should know before you go: - you will only have power from around 6pm-12am as with much of the town - the shower doesn't really work so we washed in the bucket - there is no glass on the windows and we had no shutters. There is mosquito mesh and we had no mossies in our room but it was bright so I wore an eye mask - it is noisy! There are lots of cockerels in this part of town which I actually got used to after the first day but it backs onto a school which one day played booming music at 7am and woke up the whole resort. Take ear plugs - wifi works when the power is on and sometimes when it wasn't, it's fine for messaging - the walls are by no means sound proof so be prepared to get to know your neighbours well. Everyone was considerate when we stayed though. Things that could be easily improved: - our sheet was really scratchy - the towels are small - the breakfast was two slices of the typical sugary white bread and a fried egg every day. It was quite an experience staying here and we really enjoyed our time in Port Barton, it's a lively town whilst still maintaining an authentic feel. Overall a great stay.

I don't even know where to start. I'll list the pros: -location -beach is nice -the staff of locals is very nice and friendly. That's about it. After that there is just too many little things and a few really bad things. Little things: - They charge you for EVERYTHING. literally there is no complimentary water or coffee (even though they have what appears to be a coffee making station readily available) but you will get charged at a premium for it. - the food is good but pretty expensive, but there is absolutely nothing else available so you have no choice. - They even charged us 20 pesos for 1 tiny banana. 20 per banana. - Finally the owner clearly favors Chinese tourists, and waves all of these little fees for them. Big issues: - the female owner is extremely rude to customers (add long add they are not Chinese) and to her employees including her own husband. in the the nights we were there we heard her berating her husband loudly in front of everyone and getting in a heated shouting match with paying customers! we couldn't believe it when she would literally sit next to them and talk down to them until one of the customers couldn't take it anymore and started yelling, then the owner started acting like the victim because she got yelled at. - Finally, on our last day, my wife left her phone charging at the bar while we waited for our boat to San Vicente. she then forgot it and we left. we contacted the resort and she said that she had it in her position and could do us the favor to meet us at the capital city of Puerto, so we wouldn't have to pay the very expensive boat ride back twice. it seemed incredibly nice and we accepted the offer. she said she would leave it with her husband brother Jayson Amora who lives in Puerto and we could contact him and he would return the phone. we agreed on a date and location. (she then proceeded to basically tell us that we should give him a certain amount of money for his troubles, which I found unnecessary and rude). when

This is a new accommodation. I paid so little but Ryan and his staff were very hospitable I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. Facilities are basic but very new. Genset is a definite plus for the price I paid. Only con is it's location as it's a 5 minute walk from the beach. But considering the overall value of what I paid, I will not complain. I had the best value for my money.

My room was super simple, but I was upgraded to a private room from a dorm room at no cost which I really appreciated. The staff was nice but hard to find and it was a bit annoying that they never had change even for smaller bills. If I wanted change, I had to go find it the correct amount. I was told that there was wifi and fans, so I kinda assumed that meant they would have a generator to keep those things going when the electricity when out which was not the case. Many of the other hotels and restaurants along the beach do, so that is probably the only reason I would choose somewhere different for my next stay. Other than that? AWESOME views and cheap so worth the money paid.

This place goes by two names, Zaragoza's and Erica's Guest House. Everyone in San Vicente seemed to refer to it as Erica's but on Agoda it's referred to as Zaragoza's. They're both the same place. Here are the good things about this guesthouse: 1. The cottages are spread around a big enough yard that everything isn’t so close together. 2. The cottages themselves are simple but comfortable enough and no problems. Before arriving I was under the impression that San Vicente and area only had electricity 6 hours per day, but there was round the clock power here, so the information I read was obviously out of date. 3. Long Beach is only a five minute walk away and once there you can walk for a long time and enjoy the peace and quiet by the seaside. Presently this beach has absolutely nothing on it, but it's soon going to be developed and is supposed to be the next Boracay. It really is a great beach and I'm glad I could see such a place BEFORE it gets infested with high end resorts and thousands of tourists. It'll be interesting to compare this beach today to what it will be like 10 or 15 years in the future. 4. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and anytime I needed something they were able to help me out. Here are a couple of things I didn't like so much: 1. The guesthouse is located in Agutaya Town, which is about 4 km from San Vicente, so if you need to get to town for anything, eating, sightseeing, bus terminal, you need to get a motorcycle. You could walk but it's a hot and dusty road, and motorcycles are cheap enough. But the guesthouse is closer to the beach which I think is more important, so the location isn't such a bad thing. 2. It can get a bit noisy if the karaoke machine, which is located in the dining area, is being used by the owner's nephew. If this bothers you (it bothered me) then just ask Mrs Zaragoza to have it turned off and it will be. Otherwise this is a decent and cheap place to stay, and I can recommend it.

Paradise!!!! I stayed here 3 nights and loved every minute of it! The location was perfect, 14km long beach with nobody on it apart from me and the local fisherman, who are the funniest and kindest guys ever! the people in San Vicente are so sweet, everyone says hey and they are all really helpful! We got lost trying to find the hotel and a guy gave us a lift, and then another guy helped us find cigarettes and a restaurant (wouldn't accept anything in return!!). The staff at Ursula are so friendly, always smiling and so helpful. Food was also great!!! The resort itself is awesome, so easy to relax in a hammock, beach loungers or in a wooden shack! Also only a 3 minute walk from the village which was great when we wanted to get food somewhere different! I also loved the atmosphere in the resort, they had karaoke one night which was awesome, and one night the owners son got his guitar out and sang us song songs! This was my last stop in the Philippines, and was one of my favourites for sure!!! Being able to walk down a beautiful white beach and not seeing any horrible resorts or drunken idiots.......just perfect! Thanks so much to the staff here, I'll definitely be back!!!! We stayed 4 days at Club Agutaya and we enjoyed every single day. Needless to say that it's location is unrivalled being the only resort on this long,stunning Palm fringed beach with beautiful white sand. However, everybody and this newly open hotel makes is extremely friendly and makes an enormous effort to ensure that you will enjoy your stay - just ask! We stayed authentic floor of one of the beach cottages with ocean view. The room was very large, the king size bed comfortable and the bathroom with warm water very nice. Satellite TV, minibar, safe and air conditioning are available. Very large see view pool with comfortable lounge chairs enable you to swim even if the sea should be rough. Loved the cucumber, lemongrass and lemon infused called water available there for free. The pool attendants will happy to bring you fresh juices - we had the best fresh mango juice ever! The hotel and the villas are little set back from the beach in order to comply with local regulations designed to preserve this little paradise. Both the garden and pool bar will be completed soon we hear. Loved the freshly prepared food in the restaurant, where a nice combination of local and international cuisine is being served. The fish is freshly delivered daily and the fruit and vegetables are sourced from the owners organic farm. Don't be shy and do ask for any special dish or preparation you may like me ordered the local lobster one (not on the menus) and it was our best meal on the Philippines. Don't miss the fantastic banan bread! Breakfast may need a little improvement, but the suggestions we have given them were gladly received and already taken on board. Island hopping and massages at the hotel (we loved ours) can be arranged by the very friendly ladies at the reception. Overall we had a great stay, which is particularly thanks to the very friendly staff. Believe me, just ask anybody and they will do their utmost to assist you. Highly recommend Agutaya Club!

Absolutely paradise. John and his staff are some of the best at hospitality i have ever encountered. They provided everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. John arranged transportation to and from his resort between the Puerto Princesa Airport and Port Barton. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the essentials. The bed and pillows are so comfortable I found it difficult to get out of bed and enjoy the beach. The food is very cheap and delicious. There is a very reasonably priced island hopping tour with lunch included. Everything is safe and no problems whatsoever. A trek of an hour, there is a gorgeous waterfall. The kayak provided free of charge is fun and a great way to explore. There are hammocks, beach lunch chairs, dinning area, great beach for swimming, and volleyball. Stay here for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. There is no need to go anywhere else, this is the best beachfront destination! Salamat!

hospitality and very accomodate owner mr Jojo and mrs april. best place for island hoppings and relaxation. They always prepared our schedule for tour and breakfast. Nice and clean room with complete toiletries and free mineral waters. We will come back again with our children next summer. It also near public market and San Vicente Port and van terminalvia bound for el nido and puerto prinsesa route. Again special thanks to mr jojo for treat us as family and friend.

This was a short walk from the beach and very close to many places to eat. Room was as expected except our room was missing our television which was disappointing. Also, thought breakfast was included and it wasn’t. They didn’t have prices on the menu and they didn’t give us a bill until the end of our stay after having 3 breakfasts there. However, the breakfast was decent and it was convenient. Overall it was a nice visit and we would return.

If you like unique places with a cozy touch, this is for you. It is set on top of a hill overlooking the beach, the views from the breakfast area are stunning. Santa Claus himself is incredibly welcoming; you will feel he is an old friend! A wealth of knowledge and lots of recommendations. The room itself is thoughtfully designed and a very comfortable. It was tough for us to leave!
