Lovely Hotel”
We stayed here for our honeymoon, a little bit worry about things we have read we wre positive surprised from the hotel. The room actually is cozy, and in fact not much space for your luggage, but come on, you are in Koh Samui and dont spend too much time in the room. Only when it rains a week your might become claustrophic ! The outside bathroom was nice, we informed th ehotel in advance to get a room far away and with soft matresses, so they prepared everything well, in addition we got a nice welcome setup for our honeymoon! The food served is very delicious, of course you get it cheaper outside, but if you eat in the resort you might have a better food quality. The Spa is nice (on the beachside), of course again if you go outide you might get it cheaper, but if you use the Happy Hour offers you have a great ambience, so all is up to you. The Saree Samui is a perfect place for people who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place, several dining option close to the resort. We will come back for sure!!!

Romantic villa and accommodating staff”
We chose Saree Samui because originally because it was next to the Mae Nam pier for ferry to Kao Tao that we had to travel the next day. However, it was a good surprise to discover how beautiful the villa was and we loved to stay more nights. And after Kao Tao we came back and stayed there more night and definitely we would come back here again. We liked that the place that it was not in the city. We rented a car so we could still commute around the island. It was actually located near many local restaurants so we loved it. We also had a nice Thai massage by the beach - nice.

Great stay - relaxing hotel ”
Great stay at Saree Samui - relaxing end to our 3 week holiday in Thailand. We stayed in the private lodges - all kept clean and tidy. Big comfortable bed, hot showers, good air conditioning. The infinity swimming pool as per other reviews is the highlight of the hotel alongside the private beach. The sand is courser than you would expect but perfectly walkable on. The food is of an excellent standard albeit pricier than the restaurants outside the hotel. Would recommend eating outside the hotel now and again - but the food in the hotel is excellent as mentioned previously. We found the staff to be hard working especially the waitresses and the bar/ pool guy - you will know who I mean if you come and stay. All were friendly. We booked a couple of tours through the hotel - would definitely recommend the elephant sanctuary. Check trip advisor - you feed the elephants up close but more importantly you don’t ride on them! The hotel is in need of updates - like the flooring around the pool

Fantastic Experience at the Saree Samui”
Had a fantastic experience at the Saree Samui. We stayed to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and the staff went out of their way to help make it an unforgettable experience for us. The food at the Surya restaurant is fabulous and the villas are wonderful. A very large outdoor courtyard and lounge area. There is a large infinity pool which is never crowded and a great place to lounge away the day. The spa provides excellent services. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of hotel to celebrate our special moment. Thank you, Saree Samui!!

Gorgeous hotel, luxurious and relaxing”
I booked all the accommodation for our three week Thailand holiday in advance and really did my homework looking for value for money combined with good reviews and was certainly not disappointed in this choice! If anything the Saree Samui exceeded my expectations, the room, restaurant and beach actually look better in reality than their picture galleries.From the minute we arrived we relaxed completely, the lovely air conditioned bedroom was adjacent to an outside living room area and an outside bathroom, I am extremely wary about bugs etc but the whole set up was so luxurious I didn't hesitate to use the sunken bath and rain shower without thought of little visitors.Would recommend without hesitation and would love to return!

Great rooms, great location, great staff”
Saree Samui was a great choice, we left really happy. The location at Mae Nam was excellent, much nicer than Chaweng in my opinion. The hotel had a nice swimming beach, restaurant was good, staff friendly, rooms great with own garden.

Fabulous resort, loved it. ”
i was really pleasantly surprised, having looked at a number of hotels in the area, i couldn't remember exactly what i d ended up booking! the gardens in which the individual villas sit are beautifully kept and are home to a wealth of nature. it's a great place for families and there were quite a few children there but that didn't bother us, even though we don't have kids. in fact, it was nice to see them playing. it might be worth noting, for parents, that the sand on the beach is very heavy, 'grainy' and not sandcastle soft - this might be a sticking point for families with kids. the beach and mae nam is lovely but shelves very quickly - also a consideration perhaps. the pool area is more than adequate, though. the food is very good indeed and the atmosphere is just so relaxed, it's a perfect location for chilling out with a gin fizz and a book. the service at the bar and restaurant is a bit patchy and this is the only complaint we would have. however, i think some of this may have been down to language barrier! the staff on the whole are very helpful and friendly, though. the spa (we didn't go) is very expensive, go down the road for any treatments you fancy, there are a few places to choose from. similarly with washing - i took a small load to the hotel reception and didn't think to ask the price (assuming it would be 50 bht per kilo or thereabouts) and it came back at almost 1000 for the bag. i would have paid a third of that if i'd gone out of the resort but i should have checked! on the whole, this hotel is brilliant value and i would go back in a shot. in fact, once our stint on koh phanang is over, we might well revisit.

Quiet, friendly, a lovely retreat”
Many resorts on Samui are smack bang in the nightlife and on busy beaches with loads of bars. This is NOT, and is much the better for it. An eco-lodge style property with private villas for every customer, this is ideal for anyone who wants to spend most of their time in their own company but meet a few like minded friends over dinner and breakfast. It sits right next to Mae Nam Temple and feels much like a temple itself. The staff remember what you ask for and the next day you dont have to ask again - just the way it should be. If there were a few more activities going on this would be just about perfect.

the beautiful landscape at Saree Samui and Maenam ”
The layout of the resort is one of the best on Samui, they have a huge beach front with a long infinity edge pool that overlooks the calm and beautiful beach of Mae Nam. The views over ko phangan are amazing and the sea is always calm being out of the main currents. the rooms are beautifully designed and well equipped with high tech gadgets (no flat TV but bose sound system). the furniture is a good mix of lounge oriental comfort.

Beautiful rooms, right on the beach!”
I stayed with a friend for only 1.5 days, but I would go back for a longer stay at a bettwe time of year. Saree Samui woudl be especially nice for couples / romance. Rooms with indoor bedroom and outdoor seating, open air shower and bathtub. Massage therapists on staff were very good. Food at the restaurant was good. Breakfast buffet decent, great coffee. It was a bit of a ghost town while we were there, but there were other places to walk to along the beachline for variety. There is a nice Buddhist temple overlooking the sea walking distance from the hotel.

Great hotel with friendly staffs”
It is our first visit to Samui and we are sure that Saree Samui is the right choice. We have driven to Nathon, Chaweng and Lamai and realised that Mae Nam is the best place if you really want a vacation. We enjoyed the sun bath and felt like we owned the beach! Renting a car is needed if you want to reach other area of Samui, and I enjoyed bathing under the stars!!!

lovely boutique hotel ”
this hotel is a really nice boutique hotel. it has a great location if you want it peaceful. the villas are all excellent, rather big and have a very tasteful interior. the staff is most friendly! only if you plan to attend a yoga class in their spa&yoga hut you won't find any help since nobody seems to know about any yoga classes. breakfast is great and i recommend to book the night with breakfast since there are not too many restaurants and breakfast places around the area. for dinner it is ok to go out but also the a la carte food in the hotel i would recommend. overall a really great stay and holiday - we would stay in the saree samui again!

Fabulous resort!”
I can't say enough good things about this resort! The staff are simply amazing! So kind and thoughtful and anticipated our every need! They truly go above and beyond. They remembered names, room number, drink preferences, knew what time our flight out was and were waiting at our door to help with luggage. Kitti was amazing helping us with a tour to Angthong and booking a moto to go around the island. He took all the guess work out of figuring out the logistics of what we wanted to do. The physical space was also stunning. Rooms are huge, clean, and comfortable! We loved all the outdoor space in the room, especially the outdoor bathroom and sofa. The whole place is also filled with fabulous smells - something floral in the lobby and incense in the room. The attention to all the little details is impeccable. The pool is large with views that absolutely can't be beat. Similarly the restaurant was gorgeous with excellent views and the breakfast buffet was delicious with some variation each day. The beach was so quiet and peaceful! Although the sand is not as powdery as some of the other beaches we very much preferred it to the busier beaches and it was equally as beautiful as any of the beaches. It is about a 10 minute walk to the ring road with restaurants and services along the way and plenty more once you reach the ring road. The only small drawback is that it is somewhat difficult to reach other beaches/areas of the island. Be prepared to either shell out some serious money on transportation ($15-20 one way in taxis and songthaws) or to rent a car or moto to drive yourself. We were a bit hesitant about renting a moto but eventually decided to and with Kitti's help everything went smoothly. With the moto we were able to easily see the whole island. If we are ever back to Koh Samui we will definitely stay here again! It far exceeded our expectations! Thank you to everyone for a very memorable, and relaxing vacation!

Lovely and relaxed resort”
We had a lovely time at the Saree Samui Resort in Mae Nam, Koh Samui. The resort is located in a more relaxed part of the island, so if you look for some peace and quiet - this place will definitely satisfy you. The beach is clean and satisfying. Unfortunately, the beach won't offer a lot of places to go have a drink or a dinner. In this case you are pretty much dependent on the resport. The food/drink offers at the resort are very good and delicious - but be ready to pay a western price. The villas are very beautiful and unique in the way they are constructed - with an outdoor bathroom, living room and a beautiful thai style bedroom. At the same time you have your own garden with plants and flowers. All in all it was a lovely experience, the staff was attentive and nice and we enjoyed our time at this resort. Roxana, Germany

Amazing place”
We were travelling with to young children and where looking for a quiet place , just to relax and enjoy our vacation. Instead we decides we could take a taxi if we wanted to see the night life at nearby beaches. Wonderful pool villas,traditional Thai style furniture. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant served dinner at the beach in the evening. The kids loved the pool, which is bigger than it looks on the pictures. The beach and sea very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Saree Samui and will certainly come back for another stay.

Saree Samui stay”
We stayed only one night at the Saree Samui on our way to Koh Tao, but had wished that we were staying longer. This is an incredible hotel with a very unique design that we really enjoyed. The outdoor/indoor design of the rooms is very cool. We enjoyed the restaurant and the pool. The beach seemed quiet and there were lots of families as well as couples when we went. Internet access and breakfast were included which was a bonus. Although we had heard to avoid Samui due to over-commercialization, we would have gladly stayed longer at this resort.

nice laid-back place”
saree samui is quite secluded and so very good for those wanting to get away from it all. the service is very good - attentive staff, especially a certain mr wee at the poolside and the breakfast staff. l like that the room compound has a garden with a lovely shady tree and other plants. the spa was not bad too - had a couple of wonderful thai massages, although the open-air aspect meant there was the occassional flying insect, but it's not a big problem. breakfast was more than adequate. my main grouse is noisy kids and tour groups - i was rather hoping for peace and quiet and i really think more people - as in adults - would feel the same way. somehow i don't think running/screaming kids and invasive tour groups add anything to the ambience of the place...saree samui should market iself as an adult-only place. overall, it was a good experience and i would return.

it's way over our expectation”
We have been traveling around the world for many years and we didn't expect Saree Samui to be one of the most lovely places ever. We have spent our vacation at Saree Samui for the second time and we definitely go back again.. nothing to complain about!
