I booked spin based on the reviews i read..and true enough..spin is an exeptional place to stay when in el nido. I give it a 10 on all aspects..location, cleanliness, accommodating and very friendly staff..kudos to ann who was very accommodating from booking up to the actual stay. We stayed in the dorm..family of four..the room was very spacious and nice and the common CR was not a problem..since its always clean, breakfast was very ok as well, and walking distance to town proper and meeting place for all tours. Our beautiful memories spent in el nido and the wanting more to go back to a seemingly paradise destination includes our good memories and wanting more to go back to Spin as well..

I booked 5 nights in this hostel and I can really say my favorite hostel out of the three hostel I stayed in El Nido (other two are Outpost and Frendz). This is also the cheapest out of all three which already includes a breakfast buffet from 6am - 9am (although sometimes it is still available up until 10am 😅). The breakfast usually includes pancakes, eggs, tropical fruits, Filipino kakanin e.g. suman, cuchinta, etc., orange juice and a coffee. They also provide free coffee in the afternoon until evening. The place is just outside of town proper so it is a lot more quiet. I very much like the vibe here and the friendly staff. Out of the three hostels, this one has the better wifi (good enough that I can actually work) where it is also accessible inside the dorm rooms. I stayed in a 4-bed female only dorm room and the room itself is very spacious! And they have big beds that can even accommodate 2 person. The rooms are very clean as well as the bathrooms. The showers are very good and they also provide shower gels so you don’t have to worry about that. I especially like the common area. It is so chill and laidback that you can just stay in the hostel if you don’t have anything specific planned for the day. They also offer a free self-service laundry.

Location - it's in the town but minutes away from the busy streets which I really like cos the ambiance is cozy, quiet, and relaxing. The common area is quite spacey too. You can read books in the couch, do some work remotely, just about anything :) Food - buffet breakfast is included. I rarely eat in the premise so I can't comment on this one but I don't remember having a bad tasting food too. ;) Staff - THE BEST! Shout out to Angelo and the other one whom I forgot the name (i'm sorry) in the reception. Claire and RJ in the bar, and every staffs at Spin! They really look out for you and will engage you to the activities, you'll never feel lonely even when you're traveling SOLO. Room/Bed - Pretty big bunk beds in dorm rooms with storage lockers for each. Only thing that I didn't like is that there is no curtain for each so, there's not much privacy in there. Comfort Rooms - All dorm rooms shared a common comfort area which, if I remember correctly, consists of 8 toilets and 6 showers. AND apart from that, they have 3 separate bathrooms just for GIRLS ONLY(which is one of the many things I like in this hostel). The Bad? I honestly, couldn't think of any. Just the curtains. I only stayed with them for 3 days but I would love to have my whole stay there during the trip only if they aren't always FULLY BOOKED. I'll sure be back and recommend this place!
