Taling Ngam hotels & places to stay

Travel with my wife. Arrived at hotel reception which is top of the hill with breath taking scenery. When our room is ready, hotel guest relation manager show us around the room and explained the facilities within the room. She also share there are complimentary activities such as boat excursions, snorkeling, kayak, yoga and so much more. Unfortunately we only stay for 1 day which insufficient time for boat excursions but amazingly the hotel guest relation manager was kind enough to extend our check out time. Breakfast, again was seated facing amazing view of the sea. You get to select few type of egg dishes prepare freshly. I had Egg Royal and my wife had Thai style egg Benedict. Location perspective its quite a distance to city but you get privacy and can relax. But if you want to go to the city, you will need to book a taxi from hotel.

Rooms are spacious, well designed. Decor and furnishing are elegant and contemporary. Kids love the swimming pool, and we love the ocean view from our rooms. We've been to many places within Thailand, this was the best service we've ever received. People are super nice (especially towards our children) and very considerate and well trained. For example, the moment they got to know that we would leave early in the morning, they offered 1) morning call 2) if we won't have time for breakfast in their restaurant, they can pack some breakfast boxes for us on our way to the airport. They did pack us 4 bags, each contained 2 types of drinks, 3 types of break / cake, 1 egg omelet, 4 small jars of jam / sauce.

Baan Taling Ngam is a beautiful luxury secluded hotel. Has all of the amenities you can ask for...beautiful rooms, waterfront property, excellent service. However, if you plan to enjoy the nightlife in Chaweng, beware that the hotel is about 40 minutes away on the other side of the island. Though the hotel does provide shuttle service into town 4 times per day, guests have to pay roughly $30 per trip. Otherwise though, hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend.

The hotel has amazing quality and the hospitality is best I have had in Thailand. The room was atexcellent standard and the pool villas are great to have. Free of charge Thai Massage as painful but as they say "No pain no gain." We are totally relax d and ready for the weeks worth of activity. If staying here there is a free shuttle to Lamai Beach which is also nice. Would recommend a car or motorbike hire as its out of the way. Free to rent paddle boat and kayak will allow you to explore the sea for 100's of meters. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return if coming back to Koh Samui

Location: in a relatively quiet part of the island. On a slight slope of the hill with a stunning sea view. Private stairs to the beach. Villa interiors: not very new. but still well kept. clean, modern, spacious, comfortable. Staff: Lucky (the villa manager) is very nice and helpful. She knows the island and could help you plan/book everything. Food: not as delicate & delicious & beautiful plated as 5-star hotels. Expect above-average home cook food experiences. It’s not terrible. But not great either. Would eat at the villa more if they had better food. Baby friendliness: Crib, baby chair Other goodies: pool is great; 3 separate villas plenty of rooms; beautifully designed overall; Transportation: 1hr from airport; 10min from InterContinental & Conrad hotel; Overall: I hope they hire a better chef though. I would definitely come back again in the future.

My beachfront room was quite nice, at night I could hear the waves lapping. The location (Taling ngam beach) is further away from the action spots in Samui, but if you want a relaxing time, with great value for money then this place is great. Transportation (taxis) could be easily arranged to get to other parts of the island, just be sure to check the rates of the taxis first.

Had an amazing experience from the day I stayed at this hotel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff always willing to help!! You all rock!! Keep up the good work guys!Their indebt practical approach to my queries meant I could lay back, rest and enjoy the experience. Which was what happened on my stay. Thank you all for a great time and the additional touches- it's accessible to the beach, a coffee shop is just a few steps away and 7-11 is just right opposite of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all travelers.

The location was perfect (quiet, private, peaceful) Staff are marvelous, always greets you with a warm smile.. The owner was very accommodating to send me to another restaurant and sent me to the pier to go back bangkok. In the morning, if you like to jog or brisk walk, you have all the entire stretch of the beach for yourself.. The rooms were literally beach front, so when you open your door in the morning the unending hues of blue water greets you. They also offer massage which was great. And the sunset? Marvelous! It was right in-front of you.Every afternoon at 6.00pm everyone in the resort just picks their place in the restaurant or in the sands to see the stunning sunset. Will be coming back soon....

This is the best experience I have had at a hostel in Thailand. The owner Champu is very helpful and incredibly nice. I checked in late in the evening, and she invited me to have dinner with her and her friend. The hostel itself is also about 30m from a very quiet beach. It is a great place to relax and take a break. The beds are new and comfy. The hostel itself is a very cool converted old home. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!

Beautiful location, right on a quiet cove with shallow sandy bay. Staff could not be more helpful and can arrange car and scooter rentals. Resort has a free kayak and 2 free bikes to use. Pool is lovely but poolside area is small and there are only a few (quiet old and shabby) loungers to lie on. Villas are beautifully built and decorated and spotlessly clean. Only problem is the lack of evening dinner options - the owners of the hotel provide a fabulous breakfast and you can have a great lunch as well, but there is no evening service at all. Nearest restaurant for dinner is at the French hotel about 200 yards along the beach (Elements Boutique Hotel) but its a bit expensive (although food is good and choice is good). Otherwise you need a car or scooters to travel the 2 miles to nearest town with a range of restaurants. But a lovely spot !

Can't recommend it enough - it was fantastic from start to finish. The manager, cook and all the staff looked after us like family. The food was very, very good better than in any hotel i have ever stayed. The location right on a great swimming beach cannot be bettered with great views of the five islands. Everyday a wonderful romantic sunset.......will go again.
