We had the room with air con - totally worth the premium. Beautifully decorated, homely feel, fantastic breakfast. Everything felt very private. Made our stay in ayutthaya really enjoyable.

Lovely authentic Thai house on the riverside”
Firstly, like some have said, this place is the best part of my Ayudthaya trip! It is hard enough to have a n authentic Thai style house in Thailand. and by the river plus cost only a thousand something. Khun Phen, the owner was very nice and helpful, service minded. The place was very very very hard to find. I drove past 5 times, ask people there and know one knows this place (which the place was only 50 meters away from the shop keeper I've asked plus I asked in Thai so there's no problem in communicating) The place wasn't on the internet or else I would have called. Thanks to one review in trip adviser that told it is hard to find and in between 2 noodle shops- that's the key point how I found the place. Breakfast was nice, wide selection. I had pawn boiled rice, was delicious. My room was an air conditioning facing the river - though the view was nothing on the opposite side it was pleasure enough. The space was so tight they could not put any furniture in the room accept a chair. I would like a table since a chair can not place a cup of beverage cause it will spill. blanket was heavenly soft and warm I don't want to leave the bed but at night there are lots of bugs or something crawling on me I had to cover myself in it completely up to my face.

Great country house”
Only good thing in our stay in Auyuthaya was this hotel. It looks like country house and has only 3 rooms in int. we were in a company and booked it fully, which makes it great for larger families or groups of friends. Villa room has SO MUCH SPACE, so if they could put some extra beds there, it would be 6person room!!!! Bad things, we were in quite cool time when at evening temperature was around 19celsius, and they don't have a hot water! Owner said that will fix it soon, so you may check if! A/c room and standard fan room are quite small, together smaller than one villa room. AC room has a great view to river, but traffic of cargo boats a night may be bothersome. This area of Auyuthaya is not so comfy for tourist, hotel provides great homemade breakfast but at dinner time it might be a problem, because after sun goes down, all tuk tusk and taxi disappears! No chances to find a good food at night, only 7/11 and local unknown street food. Personally if you are here only for sightseeing, I recommend not to stay more than 2 days, otherwise you might be lost in the city to find any food. Hotel has own bike and motorbike rents, but motorbike is only one, so might be a problem for a group!

a taste of authentic thai living”
traditional thai house by the chao phraya river, your lovely view while having breakfast or coffee. the furniture is thai shabby chic. the mattress is of good quality, fluffy pillows, divinely clean, crisp white sheets, and there's a white thai mosquito net that you can use to protect yourself from mosquitoes & other insects while sleeping. it is chilly and breezy in the morning, no hot shower but the temperature gets warm by midday. there's one common toilet & bath in the upper part of the house, and two other downstairs. toilet and bath is modern & clean. wifi connection is fast and accessible anywhere in the house, so you have internet access even in the comfort of your bedroom. there's a common area where you can watch tv/video, read books, or socialize with other guests. temples are located close by & bike rental is just about 300 meters away. for 50 thb from morning until 8pm, you can bike around the city to visit the temples & museums. the house manager, ms. pennapa is very accommodating and could arrange a tuktuk for you whenever you need it. she could also call a thai masseuse if you want to get a massage in the house. the house's atmosphere is serene most of the time, but could get a bit noisy toward sundown with boats passing, some are carrying tourists singing karaoke. but this entertained me more than it bothered. breakfast is savory thai cuisine, adds up to the real thai living vibe. there is a menu provided where you could order your breakfast of choice for the next day. bottled water and instant coffee are provided. i had the best time at this place. truly a home away from home. it was more that what i expected. i highly recommend this place to those who want peace and quite or whose objective is to really rest and relax apart from visiting the various tourist attractions.

Lovely property and friendly host”
I enjoyed my stay at the Thaihouse. The wooden house is nice and has an authentic feel. Although it is located slightly out of the way, you can rent a bicycle to get around. The plus side is that it is very quiet and in the non-touristic area.

Romantic and beautiful”
What a pleasure to stay in this traditional Thai house, all made from wood. Very roomy beautiful energy, wonderful verandah and I loved the life on the river. One day we did not bother going out we just lived on the verandah and watched the river. It was very peaceful. Having the main house to yourself and also using the other rooms for family would be ideal. The breakfast was excellent, sometimes we kept it for lunch, our host the lovely lady was charming and very kind, I absolutely fell in love with it. The two side rooms are excellent to rent for friend so you can enjoy the place as a group, we had the villa which is the best of the lot.

Exceptional”
Having had 3 nights in crazy Bangkok, this place was the perfect contrast. The Thai wooden house is adorable, along with Pin the owner. She was incredibly helpful, friendly and made me feel instantly welcome.. Staying somewhere traditional rather than 'same same' hotel rooms really made the difference to me, and this is where my travelling really started. Fantastic stay and beautiful city.

Rare chance to stay in a Thai style house.”
It was a great stay as Khun Pen was really friendly and helpful. We were able to rent bikes nearby to tour the temples and ruins. She also helped us get to the night market for 50 baht only and back with her private tuk tuk contact. Had a blast with the delicious night market food such as mango rice dessert, som tam, chicken, sweetcorn and sushi all very cheap and yummy! Our only concern was there was no hot water for shower, and being next to the river, there was a breeze, so walking from bathroom to the main bedroom was a teeth-chattering afffair.

Awesome stay in Ayutthaya!”
Pen is a great host, her Pad Thai for breakfast is the best we have ever eaten in Thailand! The kinda bungalow-hostel rooms have a nice view - you feel like being in the jungle without being far off the center. Bring anti-mosquito-stuff and you will have a pleasant stay! Thanks a lot, Pen!

Traditional, Clean and Peaceful”
I loved staying here. The house is a traditional Thai house located in a peaceful spot along the river. The room was basic and simple but it was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Quite nice actually. Bathroom was big and clean, as well. Very friendly and helpful owner. Definitely recommend it.

Very nice old Thaibuilding with a beautiful view”
The owner makes everything possible. There are very good maintained bikes for rent. The ruins are easily reached by bike and there are a lot of noodlestalls within walking distance. You feel set back in an old thai era wgen sitting on this beautiful porch overlooking the river! Only the shared bathroom was not too clean, not enough provided towels, very thin walls and BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT!!!!

A Thai house just for us”
This Thai house has got 3 rooms and a living room with tv and good wifi. It feels like being in a home abroad. The temples are in a cycling distance or the staff will call for a tuktuk for you to visit everything. No European style breakfast but the Thai style was great. Look for a green sign a little after the hospital, or keep the phone number handy for the taxi driver to find it.

It was pleasant, however too hot even with fans and full of mosquitos. Never saw so many. Hard to find the hotel as even taxi drivers dont know it. The staff was nice but could have been more helpful.
