I stayed at the Murano Suite for two nights. The property is conveniently located in Tagaytay City proper, making it easily accessible to popular establishments and attractions. However, the entrance lacks signage, which can be confusing for first-time visitors—though the Google Maps pin is accurate and helpful. One charming surprise: the property is home to several friendly, well-groomed dogs that will greet you enthusiastically upon arrival. If you’re an animal lover, this adds a warm and homey touch to the experience. Unfortunately, the overall condition of the suite didn’t quite match the price point. Many of the furnishings showed signs of wear and tear, and the bathtub—one of the suite’s key features—did not have hot water. While they do provide complimentary wine and homemade ice cream, our room was not stocked with wine glasses or even spoons, which felt like an oversight. On the bright side, the bed was very soft and comfortable—I slept soundly throughout the stay, which is always a major plus. The staff were kind and accommodating, always ready to assist with our needs. However, the lack of an in-room landline means you’ll need to contact reception using your mobile phone. This can be a bit inconvenient, especially since cellular signal in the area is spotty. Ultimately, you’re paying for the Taal Lake view, which is undeniably beautiful. But aside from the view and the hospitality of the staff, the overall experience fell short of expectations. With a few improvements in maintenance and amenities, this property could offer much better value for money.
