One of best hotel experience in HK, but…”
Great location with public transportation, food…very large room and sweet staffs. Only one lady in the reception ruined all 5 stars experience. When we checked out, She made a fuss about leaving the luggages in the reception for a quick bite before going to airport.

So-so”
Rating in the following order: Space: 4/5 Convenience: 3.5/5 Facilities: 2.5/5 Staff: 3.5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Space: Fairly big space and has enough for you to open your luggage. Bathroom is spacious compared to most hotels as well. Our main issue is the bed which as advertised as a "Queen" but in reality, it's a double at best, and quite short too. It's difficult for men especially big/tall, to sleep in. Convenience: Convenience to food, local markets, food chains, is pretty convenient. However if you're using MTR as your mode of commute, expect to walk 7-10mins each time you need to go to/from the nearest station. Facilities: We booked 2 rooms and their facilities were inconsistent in one of the rooms. One room was supplied with shampoo, body wash, and microwave, while the other did not. I had to request for the shampoo and body wash, but the microwave was never provided to my room. Staff: The receptionist was really apologetic when we stressed about our room not being on the same floor, as well as about the missing facilities. However one of the cleaners left our used cup in the bathroom sink uncleaned which is an awful sight to go home to after a long day. Cleanliness: Besides the cleaning lady leaving the cup in our bathroom sink, i'd say the place was pretty decent and looks fairly clean. If all of the setback doesn't bother you, i'd say to try booking with them if you want a spacious hotel. Otherwise if you're a bit picky, i'd recommend you to look for more options.

Enjoyed the space, facilities and location!”
The guys at reception were awesome - we experienced a musty/mouldy smell in the first room we were given, and the staff shifted us when a room freed up the next day. They also replaced the faulty nespresso machine (we bought our own capsules), and helped us get a taxi to the train station at the end of our stay. We really appreciated the space of the apartment, and it really made our 6-night stay much more comfortable than it would otherwise have been. Our taxi driver had a hard time finding the right address when we arrived, because it's not such a big tourist area and he knew it only by its Cantonese name. Overall, we loved being situated in a much more 'local' area of HK, surrounded by great food.

Convenient but otherwise depressingly mediocre”
The Mercury serviced apartment hotel appeared to tick most of our boxes for an extended stay in HK where well-located hotel suites are often small, expensive and well-worn. The outcome was partly as advertised (see below for what wasn’t) added to which there were a few unadvertised failings that were both disappointing and discomforting. Definitely a long way short of their claimed 4 stars. The good: a convenient location close to the Kings Road bus and tram stops and within easy reach of Fortress Hill & Tin Hua subway stations, the first-floor reception was helpful and efficient and our City-suite #1501 was reasonably roomy, clean, sometimes quiet, sometimes comfortable and almost adequately appointed. The apartment amenities, fittings & décor answer to the lower end of three stars. There is a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave & kettle. The building has a DIY shared laundry which works well provided you avoid the weekend rush. Although it’s unrelated to the apartment complex, the NOC café/restaurant on the ground floor is a very handy and good quality venue for breakfast or lunch. Other dining options from street food to Michelin stars abound within a few blocks of the property. The not so good: the alleged “queen” bed might thus qualify thus for the local demographic but not elsewhere. Apart from being narrow, it’s also hard and short; the first adjective being common in East Asia, but the latter was considerably discomforting as at a modest 180cm (5’11”) my feet overhung the bed even at a moderate stretch. Whilst the bathroom was adequate in many respects, the lighting was hopeless for the likes of shaving and, I assume, making up. It also suffered the bane of Asian bathrooms; a feculent aroma that we believe emanated from the floor waste because it was eventually abated by a daily kettlefull of water. The kitchenette equipment list ran to two cups FULL STOP. If you plan to prepare of even eat anything in the suite, bring your own kitchen kit. The bad: the AC was efficient but even at the lowest setting, the fan is very noisy with a forceful air flow and the air outlets are located such as to ensure you’re inevitably in the jet stream. Which was a particular irritation when trying to sleep under the heavy duvet cover that was totally inappropriate during HK’s warm spring weather. There was only one adjoining suite but the walls are thin and transmit sound like a drumhead so we became more intimately aware of our neighbour’s domestic proclivities than we would have preferred and vice versa; presumably. The dining table chairs (2) are of the cheap and not-so-cheerful variety that squeak and creak noisily at the slightest provocation. Unless you sat like a statue, doing anything much while at the table must have irritated our neighbour and certainly precluded concentrating on anything else in our suite, to say nothing of any prospect of one of us sleeping.

Pheasant Stay”
Whenever I go to HK, I always stay in the Causeway Bay/ North Point area. I ran into this property from the Agoda site. I like the idea of an apartment with living room and separate bedroom. The apartment is conveniently near Victoria Park with Tin Hau MTR nearby. Size of the apartment is decent with daily cleaning up. They also provide washer and dryer for free use. If they can have vending machine to sell detergent, it will be perfect. I do have one suggestion to the apartment is they should make the elevator light brighter. The light is so dim that makes it hard to see the floor button number particularly when one comes in from the sun. I have no hesitation to recommend to stay in this hotel Dennis P
