Backpacking in Thailand? Find Hat Yai Hostels

"I arrived in central Hatyai without any reservation. I was looking for a cheap hotel and i found this hotel... the receptionist was very helpful as she provided everything that i need. Room was ok for the price but i wish the shower pressure could b higher. Location was great, walking distance to main attractions and lots of food stall nearby. Overall i had a lovely stay and woke up feeling fresh the next day."

"The stay was excellent! We drove in from Malaysia all the way into Hat Yai so we also needed parking for our car and we stayed on 2 weekdays. For its location - parking only starts to be in abundance from 530pm onwards - otherwise its filled up with local vehicles in the mornings - we spent our day first in Grand Festival (FREE PARKING!) whilst waiting to check in. Check in process was awesome - they had super friendly staff to help you in on your way. Once given our welcome drinks - Butterfly Peach its called (excellent by the way) its onwards to the rooms. Its minimalist so be warned there is no lifts, ours is on 3rd floor and we had two rooms. We had help bringing our parents bags up. Room - Gorgeous! Air conditioning is cold, bed firm as we liked and pillows were very comfy. Beautiful minimalist settings throughout. Water pressure was strong - something which I am very particular with. The whole floor was covered in some sort of laquer i think, we went barefoot most of the time :) About 1/2 floor down from our room, there's a little living room with super comfy sofa and cooling air being blown down from the air vents. It was in the mornings naturally lighted up by the see through roof, we relaxed for almost 6 hours there in the 3 days we spent in La Pause. Location wise though, its a little off the beaten track - we had a car so moving around was much easier, none the less its pretty close to where the other attractions are so thats fine. All in all we really enjoyed our stay in La Pause - we aim to be back next time we are in Hat Yai! :D"

"I were taking the dormitory 4 female , really clean and comfy AC room . Eventhough toilet need to be share but its really clean complete with hot shower , soap and shampoo . Also provided long mirror , sink and two hair dryer outside the toilet . Not to forget they have provided iron with iron board also.Can have breakfast and relaxation time at first floor where they provide table and mini sofa , also some informations regarding best place to visit in Hatyai . Staff really friendly and helpful . Really easy to go to some of the attractions place , you can choose either walking (0.5km - 1km distance) , rent a motorcycle from hotel (250TB/day) , by gracar or tuktuk . At first i didnt put high expectation on it but after staying it really a worth place to try . "

"I had a great stay here, the place is clean and comfortable. Tho some of the local drivers don’t know about this hostel and it could be hard to find on some gps apps. The owners are friendly they even fetched me to my destination, thanks! "

"This place is nice (or very nice) for a short or long stay at Hat Yai. It's location is the best! Lee Gardens Plaza is 2 mins walking distance, 7Eleven, Halal restaurants (Salma, Hamid Restaurant etc.), money changer are all nearby! Kimyong Market is around 10 mins walking distance. The standard room for 2 pax is really spacious with king bed. Paid another 100baht for one additional pax. Though they didn't provide extra bed, they provided the additional pax with pillow and towel which is good enough. The room and shower are really nice with the minimal theme. Everything is nice! I wouldn't mind to stay here again next time."

"The location is very good as just opposite of Odean Mall.. The room is clean but the washroom cleanliness need to improve as some other guest make it quite alot of hair on the floor but no one clean it.. The water pressure is SUPER LOW so only can have a quick bath and can't wash hair.. No provide hair dryer and towel and toothbrush set so you need to bring your own one.. But still a very good place to stay if you just staying for 1 night & if you wan to save more money on shopping, then this is the place as is really cheap and good location.. Suggest not to take tuk tuk from train station as is just within 10 minutes walking and tuk tuk charge for at least 20 baht per person.."

"The room was really clean. The bed sheets were really clean! The room was not as stuffy and warm as I had initially expected, it was quite cool in the night. The hostel owner was really friendly and so is his staff. There were reference materials and suggestive places to visit which is really cool as there are waterfall around Hat Yai! The location was not hard to find as it is just right in front of the train station by 2 roads and a little further to the right. There are a lot of mosquitoes in Hat Yai, luckily there were mosquito nets, so its fine. They are doing it right!"
