Japanese/Western-style Room with Open-air Hot Spring Bath (2 Japanese Beds, Type A)
Stayed 1 night in March 2025

    “Hot spring”

I decided to use a hotel room with an open-air bath. The staff was relatively young, but there were no issues with greetings or service. They were kind, efficient, and had lovely smiles. The room and onsen facilities were clean and well-equipped with amenities. I used the towels provided in the room, so if you don’t have specific preferences, you probably don’t need to bring anything. The refrigerator had free water and tea. There were coffee beans available, but I felt a bit uneasy about that (laughs). There is also coffee available in the lobby and dining area. If the timing is right, the private bath in the annex didn't take too long to wait for. However, it is cold during the snowy season. The changing room is really cold, so be careful of heat shock! The onsen is quite hot but felt really nice. The atmosphere is also wonderful. The Ki no Yu and Inishi no Yu were almost private, allowing for a leisurely bath depending on the time. Having ice cream and Yakult after the bath was a nice touch. The water in the room's open-air bath is also hot, so it needs to be adjusted with water. Taking a bath in the open air while watching the morning glow over a world covered in silver snow was the best. I think this hotel is perfect for those who want to leisurely enjoy the onsen.

“I want to use it again on an important anniversary.”

It was a comfortable place where I could spend the whole day at this inn. The private open-air bath in the guest room was not too small, and I was able to relax without feeling the distance to the neighboring room. There were many types of baths in Kannai, and I enjoyed taking three thorough baths in the evening, at night, and in the morning! There were many free services available, which made me very happy. The meals were served in a private room, allowing me to enjoy conversations with my partner at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious, and the explanations were very thorough, which made me very pleased.

    “The bath is the best‼️”

Last time, I stayed at Konoha and it was very good, so this time I made a reservation at Ki no Niwa. I feel like the meals at Konoha were enjoyable with a half buffet, but the private open-air baths in the guest rooms and the variety of baths were simply incredible for bath lovers. The building may not be new, but it has a nice character and a sense of cleanliness that made me want to stay longer. They also provide ice cream and Yakult after the bath, as well as late-night soba, making it a place that attends to every little need. After staying here, I became a fan of Kyoritsu Resort and even stayed at Dormy Inn, and I’m completely hooked. This is an inn I want to continue supporting.

My stay at this ryokan was absolutely magical. The private onsen were readily available on a Wednesday when we went. Dinner was super filling and delicious and so was breakfast. The staff were polite and spoke enough English that we never felt misunderstood. It was breathtaking with breathtaking views even in early December. 100% recommend.
