Toucheng Township hotels & places to stay

Country road B&B is one of the best accomodation I stayed in my travel through out Taiwan for the past 4 years! Location wise is about 8mins drive from Jiaoxi train station by Taxi and it not near any restaurant or convenient store but it was near the houdongkeng waterfall and lovely mountain with cover with misty fog. It so refreshing in the morning to see the mountain and listen to the sound of the river running by the side of the hotel. I booked the deluxe room with balcony and View room which is the biggest room type they offer. Service is excellent, friendly and warm. The hotel serves diffutype of breakfast Everyday and it was very tasty! Will come back again.

Stayed in Classic room for a night, room is huge and sea facing, love the golden swings in room! Everything here is of high quality and well maintained, iPad is used to control the lights, curtain, aircon and TV as well as calling for service. Toilet bowl is those Japanese type that comes with warmer and self cleanse function. Branded toiletries provided, not just shampoo, conditioner and body wash, but also including makeup remover, face cleanser and moisturiser (only lacking hair product for a complete set!). Complimentary snacks and drinks in the room too. Bed for us in on the soft side, while pillows on the hard side. Will be even better if we can choose the types of pillows. Service here is really good and personal, they were helpful with directions and helped to book a cab to nearby places. Nothing much in the area but a good place to chill by the sea (some sea activities available nearby), about 5minutes walking distance to a small train station. Shuttle service to a larger train station is available at addition cost if booked through Agoda. Breakfast is a complete set, very filling and thoughtful. Original set comes with beef and seafood, we asked for alternatives and they gladly accommodated and prepared for us. Nice! Also tried the afternoon tea set at addition cost. Overall a great stay and will recommend this if visiting Yilan area. Great job and keep it up!

if you are just talking about the stay, yes it is a great place to stay. but the only problem is the wifi is very weak in the room. most of the time i need to get out of the room to be connected to the wifi . location is a walking distance to the beach if those people visit there for surfing. But with personal transport is just a short ride. overall is a good place to rest as the place is clean and spacious. Lady boss and staffs are friendly and helpful.

Choosing to stay at the Qi Hua Zhen Ju Homestay was perhaps the best decision we've made on accommodation in our 9 days in Taiwan. We took a bet on the few but incredible reviews and were rewarded beyond our expectations. Despite having reached the city via a late train, we were welcomed and greeted warmly. Newly renovated, the entire house smelled of the rich teak emanating from the quality furniture and there are many snacks and drinks that are free for consumption. We came to Toucheng to go to Guishan Island (Guishandao/Turtle Island), but was totally unprepared as we had not made any bookings for boat transport to the island. Despite it being 10pm at night, our hosts managed to work the miracle to book us on a insured 3-in-one trip (routing, walking on, and whale-watching) and at a rate even lower than the one printed on the brochure! Spot-on recommendations of what to do in the city! You can catch sunrise on the sundeck on the top floor or you can walk to the beach in the wee hours of the morning. We chose to sleep in so we only caught it on the sundeck, but the sunrise was incredible nonetheless. We were also told that it was possible to see the sunrise from some of the rooms, without leaving the comfort of your bed! One thing is for certain, when I come back to Yilan one day, this would be my first port of call. I simply cannot say enough of the hospitality we got from the owners of the Qi Hua Zhen Ju Homestay. We felt safe, warm and welcome. We were well looked after, particularly because it was less hectic on a weekday, and even this is a severe understatement. You have to experience it for yourself. Oh, did I mention? They have a lift in their home, so don't worry about accessibility or stairs!

We stayed on rooftop level 5 and beside is an outdoor common porch with a beautiful view of Turtle Island. Our room is small and neat but larger rooms are also available at lower levels. The bathroom’s custom ventilation system is amazing with adjustable temperature according to season. If you travel with heavy luggage this Minsu’s lift serving till level 4 will ease your troubles. The hosts are really nice and picked us from the train station late evening and we booked the next day’s ferry to Turtle Island directly from the hosts at preferential rate. Fresh sweet local fruits were even provided by host Ms Zhang when we arrived at Minsu which was really welcoming. We also won’t forget the nearby mountain top café with an awesome Pacific Ocean view and best beef noodle recommended by the hosts. We really appreciate the warm hospitality received and will definitely stay here again and recommend to any friends visiting Toucheng.

The farm tour is the highlight of our stay at Toucheng Leisure Farm. For Muslim travellers on free & easy tour, you will need to email them in advance of your request for halal food. Beautiful landscape and my children enjoyed the DIY Lantern experience. Tina, the owner spoke good English and she's very friendly. Her dog, named Golden, is very smart and guided us around the area where we stayed. Go for the creek where you can dip your feet into the clean river water that cones from the mountain. Despite its humbled 2-star rating, I would give it a 5-star rating for its cleanliness, service, food and friendly staff. My children enjoyed feeding the fish and ducks in the pond. Fish food is readily sold at $10TWD. There are traditional games such as chapteh and walking sticks and toy equipment to make bubbles that are readily available for anyone to play. My 8-year old is always kept occupied with all the games and toys. Will definitely come back for more experience at the farm.

The owner was helpful and friendly, making sure I had enough water and food for my trek and advising me to get something for dinner from Fulong as there were no eateries in Dali itself, not even a 7 eleven. I top of that when I returned he had some pumpkin stewing sand offered me some as a snack. The hotel itself is right outside the station and a quick walk to the temple where the Caoling Historical Trail starts so it's very convenient for anyone wanting to do the hike. The rooms are spacious, clean and have lockers as well as a few small bits a pieces that you may need in a little cupboard. Bathroom was clean and spacious with free shampoo and body wash. I was very happy with my stay at Dali Yi.

Comfortable and hospitable The location is in between Toucheng Train station (1.5Km) and Wai'ao Beach (1.9Km). It's very convenient for people with bicycle. Nice and scenic bicycle and walking path from the hostel to the beach. Newly furnished rooms in condominium at the redevelop zone that are clean and quiet. Owners are friendly and helpful. Pickup service is available to and from train station. Bikes are available at the hostel. Good value for the price.
