SEWER SYSTEM NEEDS FIXING”
the only thing that was even slightly disappointing was the bathroom smell due to a very bad sewer system. they are aware of it and would love to resolve the issue but it's the municipality, not the hotel

I'd never stayed overnight in Tak before, I'd always just been passing through. So I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to try out The White House Hotel for a 3 day visit. The location was right off the main road, which gave easy access to anywhere else I wanted to go in Tak. The staff was helpful and friendly. And the rooms were kept very clean. The pool was nice and there's a Thai breakfast offered every morning with your stay, a nice added touch. If you're overnighting in Tak, White House Hotel is a noteworthy spot to check into.

Nice hotel. Not family orientated. More for weddings, business, conferences, and/or parties. Breakfast needs more selection and work. Rooms are nice but on the smaller size. The bigger rooms are Family Rooms. Location from center of Tak is a bit far. Walking is too far. You will need a car. Pool is nice but no shade (no umbrellas) Hotel has only been open for 8 months. .. so give them time? Cost is good for what you get and pics are real and do represent what you will find. Staff pleasant and helpful but need more training in procedures with Agoda. But they do their best which is good overall. There are better in Tak City which are close to center... markets... etc... and certainly better for families, couples, and those between transport (buss)

An impressive building set back about 100 metres from the main ‘Route1’, it’s an ideal place to break any long journey between the North and South of the country. The room was quiet and comfortable, the staff friendly, the parking easy and only about 4 kms. from the centre of Tak for a selection of restaurants and bars.

4-Star @ 3-Star Price”
The place was virtually brand new when we stopped as a way point on our drive to Chiang Mai. Since it was new, everything was clean and the staff very helpful. It is on the outskirts of the actual town of Tak so having your own transport is a must. The pool looked nice but as we were only overnighters we did not use it. I think you need to ask the staff for an umbrella when lounging about.

Great hotel for a stopover”
We were on our way from Bkk-Cnx with infant so we stoped half way. White House is perfect for a short stay. The hotel was clean and staff were very helpful. There was a breakfast provided.

One night in Tak”
Only used the hotel for a stopover to break up the journey. Excellent hotel, with great pool. Slight distance from the main town but still had some choice of restaurants nearby. Great value.
